Why don't these m*f stop calling for a lady that had my phone number before me?

Called for a traci__ - gave me options as to getting her on the line.. Would help if I knew who the hell she was. People that give fake #s to creditors piss me off.. I'm on the do not call list and this is my cell #.. frustrated since this is a common issue.

I am not sure why they are allowed to keep calling the wrong person.

This is a bill collector.  Calling about unpaid hospital bills.  They stated the name of their company is Argon.

Said nothing, hung up

Collection agency asking payment of the check I wrote over 3years ago. They are not the original collection agency initially attemped to collect this debt.  I offered to pay full amount today with Only if they can offer something in writing stating my credit report/checksystem record will be properly updated. This rude guy supposedly supervisor said they can't do that. He was rude. I asked what's the point of paying?  1. They are not the company I originally wrote the check to. 2. By paying this debt, my credit/checksystem record does not reflect my payment.   He tried to lecture me about I promised to pay something and I did not.  Yes true but Not with your company. You bought this over 3 years old debt from other collection agency. So I did not have business with you. You don't know my situation so stop lecturing me about my ethic.  At the end I told them I have no intention of paying this debt when they are not promising anything in writing.

DON'T PAY IT....it's just a scam! Been there, done that and it was for nothing!

11:41 AM, 10/27/2011  Whoever this is calling me from 866-999-6450 better stop calling.  I am on the DO NOT CALL list and I am not the BUSINESS they are calling "KIDS KLOSET" in Ormond Beach, Florida. If they were good collection agents why don't they call the Secretary of State of Florida and look up KIDS KLOSET. Too damn dumb to do that I guess. Unfortunately my telephone number was the number in the past for "Kids Kloset"! . To that person that called me, read my lips, DO NOT CALL AGAIN - your are being recorded for the AG, the FCC, and the agencies that need to put a stop to harrassing telephone collection calls. JMO. Freedom of Speech!

Everyday, these people harass me. it's annoying & frustrating all at once. I wish there was something i could do to stop the calls completely short of blocking the number on myverizon :/ I talked to someone a long time ago about these calls & they assured me i wouldn't receive another call from them. However, lately they've been calling again for some lady i have no idea whom she even is.. The sad thing is that it's been six months since they made that promise to me.

Hey there, I love your post. It totally makes sense! And I love the part where they lecture. Who the hell do they think they are? Like you said, they have no idea what a person's situation is. I looked up information regarding debt collectors and they said the same thing...get them to show/remove your negative information. All of them can, but they won't sooooo as you so delicately ;) put it...Screwthis!

Yay!  Me too, me too!  They're not making actual calls anymore, they're just sending text messages that look like transcribed voice mails.  Claiming to be Oregon Company.

They called about a bad check on a bank I have never heard of. They called about a year ago and said they would send me a copy of the check, if I would write and request it. I wrote them a letter and never received a responce. Now they are calling again. Who are these people?????

they call our house number at least 5-7 times a day every single day. i am not joking. my mom is about to lose her mind and explode. i don't know what else to do. they keep looking for someone who doesn't live here. we've called back, left messages, the first time they said they would stop, now when the phone rings no one is even there, just holding music or a recording. someone please tell me what i can do? i've placed our number on the DO NOT CALL LIST but it's not working. my family is getting into arguments over this, and it's at a point where even if we changed our number, we think they'll get that number too? i'm not sure how to email them, but even if we did, would they read or care? we're desperate and no longer know what to do.

When I answered the phone it was an automated system with a message for somebody whos name i couldn't even understand then it went on with options to select. I get plenty of calls from scammers with toll free numbers everyday & of course these people don't like talking to me because i tell them like it is an will report them to my attorney generals office so they try to trick me & switch up their numbers. So now they have resorted to automation!!!!! Well they still picked the wrong one to deal with!!!!!!

Argon is who they say they are. They are trying to collect a medical bill for my son from 2004. He is 4 and was born in 2007....After addressing that they said oh, ok and hung up....I still keep getting calls weekly
