Verizon spamming and trying to renew my contract

repeated phone calls from this number without every leaving a message

Number calls and leaves no message. I am on the "do not call" list for cell phones, so how do these companies get through?

This call came in around 6:30PM Eastern. No idea who was calling...

Asked for my name and I pretended I wasn't home and they said they would call back another time

If they show their number to your caller ID, they can call you legally as I understand it.

These clowns tried calling me as well

It's Verizon. i don't answer. but they call once a day and it's annoying!

They just called me. Naturally they hung up on my machine. Talk about annoying!

They call yet leave no message then hang up. It's really annoying!

On my Comcast phone system, one can block this call by using "Call Screening".  Just press *60 and follow the instructions.

They keep calling and when answering machine picks up they hang up.

I received several calls from this number with no message left.  Then the last 2 times they called, I picked up and said hello and they hung up!

I called back after getting calls daily.  They purport to be Verizon, looking for my spouse (they had her name.

I keep pushing the # button about every 30 seconds while talking with the rep, and every time I pushed it, I would ask "hello"?.  After the 5th or 6th time I told the rep "I am sorry for the incessant beeping tone, but the FCC investigator told me it would do that, after I called and reported it receiving so many calls from this number"  

He hung up.

Ma just received call from "Verizon" from this number.  I did a *69 and found this link.  Ma had no idea what they were talking about, i.e., ma's cell phone whereby the contract is to expire. I handled the call.  The woman tech insisted my mother had 2 cells phones, my mother's land line telephone number allegedly was the contact phone number on both contracts.  Ma never had a cell phone with Verizon.  Ma never had a cell phone.  Ma is 86 years old. The female tech gave an address, not ma's, gave a version of ma's name, not ma's name.  AND, female tech wanted last 4 digits of ma's Social Security Number.  I wouldn't give it.  I asked her to give me the 4 numbers she had on record, and she would not.  This person who called was insistent.  We didn't appreciate this phone call that occurred just around 5 p.m.

Have received at least 5 calls from this number for the week of 4/11/10 to today again.  Number hangs up leaves no message.  Tried calling back, but Verizon has a recording that says you cannot call this number back.

Don't call me again to this telephone number...no more tel. call...OK????please!!!!
