Exact same story for me as well.  Paid our car registration online with an e-check and that same day the $29.95 charge from World System went through.  I have notified our bank, and will now have to close my account.

I wish I would have found this site prior to calling the World Systems number. My story is like many I have read. I found an unauthorized charge for $29.95 and called the number. I was given a a conf. # for the refund.

I don't see any similar banks or businesses that others have used for legit payments that I also use. Has anyone contacted the authorities and received a response?

This is fraud. I'm contacting my bank, got and OD fee for 35.

I had the same charge come out of my account around the same time in March 2012 and now the charge has happened again but from a similar phone # being reported on the check - 1-877-213-7803 in the amount of $29.95 but to a business called Global One - the 1-877 # is invalid and the copy of the check is completely fake.  It is using my maiden name and all of the Payee info is on the right side of the check and not the left side and there is not a legal description of the amount to be paid as well.  As I did last year I called my bank immediately to report fraud - a lot of this occurred when RBC Centura transferred over to PNC Bank.  Unfortunately, I have no way of contacting this business to get a refund since the phone # is invalid so everyone should be careful and keep a close eye on their bank accounts!

is there a certain bank they are using?  Just curious if it is all banks or just one.

I had the same charge.  Called the number and they said they would refund me in 3-5 business days.  I spoke to someone name Karen, she said amount will be credited to my account in 2 business days. When I called at 877-213-7808, no answer. I was told that charges are for adult web site subscription that I did not authorize.

We had just the same thing happen.

I received a charge to my bank acct for 29.95 for World System, 30-day money back guarantee also and when I call the phone number 877-213-7808, it tells me that a voice mail box has not been set up for that number.   I called my bank and told them I had not made it but guess I will have to go up and write a protestation on it.  Will also be calling the attorney general here in Iowa.   Good thing I keep a close eye on my bank acct.   I check it on line religiously.  It has my name, acct number and routing number on it.

My daughter and I had the same charge, mine from World System, hers from Web Service.  We have two different banks.  The only thing we have in common is my daughter's mortgage company.  She has a first and second mortgage thru Virginia Housing Development Authority.  

My daughter uses her checking account information to pay her 1st mortgage online and I use my checking account information to pay her second mortgage online.  This 29.95 was charged to our accounts later in the day of making the mortgage payments. This is the only thing we use our checking account numbers to pay, our debit cards are used for everything else.

I called World System and Web Service (two different telephone numbers) and was told the same as everyone else, the charge was for a subscription for a porn site, about the refund and it being illegal to get a double refund.  The confirmation number I was given for my daughter was 12337865 from Web Service.  The confirmation number I was given from World System was 12337859.  Hmmmmm, what are the chances you are given two confirmation numbers so close together from two separate companies?  

I've already reported to my bank and my daughter is calling her bank now.

The same scam hit us at our small, local bank, however ours used the name Web World.  Same phone number and fraud.  Very frustrated to have this happen.  Does anyone know if it happens monthly?  Or just a one time thing?  My bank charged us $25 for the stop check request.  That doesn't sound right, does it???  Thanks in advance for any advice.

Just this morning I had a draft from my account , using the old bank name printed on the draft item, 29.95 payable to Web World   called the number they say I will get a credit in 3-5 days, called my bank they are still checking on it.  Someone posted about a common business or transaction   HSBC was just taken over by Capitalone  I have an HSBC card I seldom use,  I also pay a mortgage online to bank of america. I don't use or have a paypal account.   The I P is address showed an address for New ALbany, MS  which is about 100 miles from us.   I am sure now the best thing to do is close the account and open another one, but what a pain and a time killer.   anyone else in Mississippi or Cadence bank customer of TN, MS, AL ?

I did not pay Verizon or Direct TV with this account.

I am not sure if this number is working with them or not. They told me to contact the bank ASAP and I did. I was also told 5-7 buiness days. I will let you know about the refund.

I just had the exact same thing happen that everyone else did(29.95 ...world systems..etc)...I also recently paid a Comcast bill with my checking info and have an HSBC acccount....those two are ones that I see a good bit on here...I hope someone high up is checking into this...I filed a police report, but they seem lost about it. ...Can't they track down where or who has the 7808 number....I feel like prank calling this number everyday until they shut down...Grrr what a pain

I noticed a charge for $29.95 just this evening. Went to the ATM and withdrew everything. Will close my account Monday and go to another bank. I am changing all my passwords also. Will have cards reissued. Must report this to my bank too. We can't figure out how this happened except that my husband gave out some bank information to a rep. selling new insurance! He did this over the phone. I never give out any information SS number or any bank information over the phone. We live and learn. May these people get what is coming to them.*****

Let's see......the above person must think I am an idiot!  Why should I click on some link provided by someone I do not  know from Adam on a website I am not sure of in the first place pertaining to some party who is stealing money from people?  

I had trusted a lot of people in the past. One person in particular is doing 30 years for fraud.

I just noticed this $29.95 charge to my account and was made on 3/27/13.  And I am wondering how they got the information.  I was told it was for an adult site and they did tell me to contact my bank.  But what concerns me is that I recently used TaxAct to file taxes and of course refund came from the IRS so where is the breach?
