freaky caller asked for my minor child by name, then hung up....

I heard this phone number on the radio and jotted it down - it was advertised if you want your child to get involved in tv commercials, movies, tv shows etc.  Supposedly it's for auditions and there was to be agents there as well. That's all I know..

i had taken my son on an audition from this number. my got it from a commerical shown on the nickelodeon channel.......its a gimmic. they promiced to get my son into tv commer. and shows .guess what .they charge a fortune......................its sad!

I heared this on the radio too and called. They said it was free.
Do they start charging later? Any companies behind that? ???

They just called me back to confirm my daughters appointment in NJ tomorrow morning to audition.  I asked them if it required money.  She then told me that the first audition was for an acting school, and yes, it requires a tuition, but....the second audition was for a part on a Nickolodean show, yea right, I told her to cancel my appointment.  This is how the school gets kids..they use a big company to lure you there.

WE ARE SO THANKFUL FOR YOUR COMMENTS. WE RECIEVED THIS NUMBER FROM A RADIO STATION AND WERE GOING TO GO TO AN AUDITION TOMORROW AND IT WOULD BE AN OVER 2 HOUR DRIVE. I FELT IT SUSPICIOUS AND TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. THANKS FOR THE SAVED TRIP!

Were you able to obtain any further information after the fact.  I have an appt. for Sunday but really not sure if I should keep it.

I too also heard the number on a local radio station in Cleveland. Thought it sounded ok, but after calling to register, I felt suspicious. Couldn't find anything on-line about it. This morning I thought I would try a search on the number and found this.... THANK YOU!

I also called the number and registered my daughter to go after reading these messages I also cancelled.

I saw your message and asked a friend of mine about this commercial who works at a radio station in Columbus. They said adds like this came from corporate usually and they have to air them, even if they don't like it. Just thought you should know.

I just booked an appointment for my son who is an aspiring actor and 12 years old.  Now I am suspicious and don't know if i should waste my time going downtown.  Thanks for your insight.

oh wow .. THANKS SOO MUCH! im glad i didnt call back! they were at a mall and someone asked me if i wanted to audition i said sure.. and they said they might call me back.. and when they did i was so happy. But now that i see its all a scam im so dissapointed.. BUT IM SOO GREATFUL that i saw this!

I just recieved a voice mail from this number. She said her name was "Sara" from ACT requarding auditions for my daughter which 4 1/2. Funny thing is when she was 6m old we found an ad in the paper from "Star Biz Whilamina" we went to it and of course they said my duaghter was picked out of hundreds who auditioned. They said becuase she has no exspiernce that they would do a photo shoot for $700 we were new parents and paid it.. Went to the shoot which was in thier building down town where the auditions were held. They walked us into a closet size room and gave my duaghter a tie die t-shirt with some insect picture and snapped a few shots. 3 months later we never heard anything untill we called and called and called. We demanded our photos of our daughter and the magazine spread we were promised. We drove down more then once to find picketers in front of the building yelling out "this is a scam" we march in and got our photos on a disket a magazine. In the magazine was tiny little pictures off all the families children that were scammed in a non-exsist company Ad. We never go a refund but a few news stations called for a section report in thier colum about "Star Biz Whilimena" Basiclly if you have to pay you will be played...

last night i was doing my usal things then i saw a ad. it said you can be star you had to text "AUDITIONS" to the number i was convinced. that night i got a call asking for a gaurdian.my mom told me to hang up.all they want is money. and all they do is ruin your dreams.Dot let your kids or you get taken advantage of by these people.They will ruin "YOUR" dreams!"

Last night my daughter and I heard on the radio station 102.1 about auditions and we got interested in it and we scheduled an appointmet.
