A woman call to say that I owe $4721.01, because I acted as guarantor for a loan and that I am being sued and she want to help me before it's too late. I have to get back to her by tomorrow before it goes to court.

I got a call saying I owed on a bill that has been paid in full.  I do not know who these people are.  They said that they are a lawyers office.  I do not give personal information to anyone over the phone.

They called us.  And One of them claimed to be a part of a law office.  Seemed like a total scam to me.  Gave very little information on the message, and we don't owe on any bills.  I think its a phishing scam, to try and get personal information.  Anyone else recieved voicemail from this number?

Call here at my house tell me that if I didn't make a payment on some type of loan he was going to file suit agasit me and if i was a nuse they can revoke my liscen. These floks look like ther operate under diffrent numbers

Call my job stating they are from 'the state board of nursing'.

Getting approximately 15-20 calls in a day and a half on my cell phone and work place.  Not giving much information and saying i owe them $1200.00 for some security system from 2003 which i have no idea.  They are asking for lot of personal information like SS#, address, fax number, etc.  Sounds like a scam.  One of them said that he was with a montgomery law firm. Another one said that they are an arbtration firm.  I requested them to mail me documents, they don't want to do it. Instead, they are threatning with law suit.  They are calling from the following numbers

The issue is not if the money is owed or not. It's the method used in collecting the money. Lies, bullying, and intimidating people is common practice, and it's wrong.

I am not going to get into my story cause like the lady on top its over a security system that was ALREADY paid for. They are dirty & call my work everyday even though I have told them several times not to. I finally sent a certified letter to them stating I wanted copies of all documents and/or contracts and to cease calling my work or face legal suit for violating my rights. Wish we could band together & sue them for the way they conduct business through lies, harassment and other wrong illegal tactics.

you do not need to ban together - YOU CAN SUE THEM YOURSELF!  
but you have to dot your i's and cross your t's first.  Meaning YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE RULES!  Which means sending a written dispute and cease communications letter, keeping a log of calls made after receiving cease comm letter, recording calls

We do pay our bills. As usual, you're trying to shake people down fraudulently. Does typing in all caps like that help you compensate for your small [***]?

You know, dumba$$, sometimes the only way to get money from you deadbeats IS in fact to "shake you down" as you say. If you paid your bills NO ONE WOULD BE CALLING YOU. (And I am using ALL CAPS BECAUSE not IN SPITE OF the size of my member!)

You say we got the wrong number? Don't care.

Say you already paid the bill? Fat chance, try again.

Say you don't have to talk to us? The HELL you don't. We are trying to SAVE this country and you are trying to DESTROY it. Doin' a good job too, what with laws that try to TIE OUT HANDS BEHIND OUR BACKS while we try to SAVE YOU from YOURSELF.

Say we can't threaten you? YES WE CAN and WILL.

Say we can't call you at work? RING RING RING!

Say we can't call you at night? WE CAN but if you don't answer it's probably because you PASSED OUT. Being a deadbeat is HARD WORK isn't it?

You DESERVE to be shaken down. You DESERVE to be threatened. Your family friends and neighbors DESERVE to know what kind of a DEADBEAT you really are, and this is for your OWN GOOD. Goddam laws don't get in the way of REAL collectors, we get 'er done, because we know what is RIGHT not some goddam idiot in the govt who don't know CRAP about real business.  

PAY US WHAT WE SAY YOU OWE AND PAY IT NOW. Then we will stop bothering you until your file crosses out desks again AND IT ALWAYS DOES. What comes around GOES AROUND. You'll be thanking us when you're DEAD!

MAKE SURE YOU INCLUDE "The REAL Collector's" Posts in those complaints with these agencies - he is a great company spokesman!  I'm sure the AG's will love it when they see he claims that the FDCPA laws DO NOT APPLY TO THIS COMPANY!

Mr. Johnson from Lockhart & Morris informed me that I had no rights! Well he is wrong & I am to the point of proving it!! I understand that they have a job to do but do it right. Not all of us are "deadbeats" I will agree that most do not pay their bills but some of us of got caught in this due to paperwork not being filed correctly and the companies losing payments that HAVE been made. With all that aside even IF some just flat out owe the bill that still does not give ANYONE the right to harass a person. Calling my boss 3+ times a day? Telling me I have no rights? This is very unprofessional & unlike your company my company (job) have valves & don't appreciate you (Collectors) calling.

A person identifying himself as John Ezel of a Montgomery law firm contacted a neighbor and left a message with them stating he was looking for my sister.  The neigbor provided me with the contact information he left them. When I called the number there was an opening company message that was abruptly terminated before the company name could be identified and the call was put through to an operator who would also not provide the actual name of the company. Turns out he was looking for my daughter - he should have known this if he got my name from any credit application she ever filled out which a legitimate debt collector would have been given this information.  Spoke to the gentleman who was trying to get in touch with my daughter and he would only say that she must call him back within 24 hours to prevent a judgement against her and possible jail time.  This has turned out to be a scam in connection with the College Network, a debt which was forgiven when the unused education materials were returned to the school.  Apparently there have been a large number of complaints filed agains this organization for similar issues of them selling off debts that are non-existent.

John Ezel has been calling me at work and harrasing me. He has called me at work several times and has made my boss upset. I could loss my job because the phones are used for doctors calling nurses and nurses callingthe doctors for orders. He has threatened to take my nurseing licenses. He has also threatened my 76 old mother and got her upset. This was through College Network.
