Called me twice in one week, I didn't answer. At least once it left a voice message but when I called my voicemail it said nothing.

These people are calling my in-laws on their cells about my daughter. Which mind you isnt their grand daughter. So now tomorrow  i will be calling them. How would they have my inlaw's  cell numbers?   She told them she didn't  know who my daughter was. They wouldn't say who they were. This is ridiculous. My daughters late bill shouldn't  have anything to do with my in laws nor should this company  be calling them. I'm not yelling with the caps.  Wait maybe i am.  Lol

Looks like they are another criminal debt scammer.  Calling them will get you nowhere.  This is what your in laws need to do because they have the start of a real nice FDCPA lawsuit, as does your daughter.

    http://www.fmaalliance.com/jsp/contact.jsp

You, your daughter, and your in laws  need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.

Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Bill collection. It is silent zone if you don' t speak, it will hold on for 30 seconds and hang up. For fun put phone on speaker and listen to them wasting their time.
It is a petty thing , but fun.

They have called me twice. I thought maybe one of my kids might have missed a pymt on something (out of state-since moved) that we may have co=signed for. I called after getting second message. Lady wanted my name. I gave it to her. Then asked for the last 4 digits of my SS# or my birth date. I gave her my birth date. She said it did not match what they have on file. I said "good, then it is not me." She said "not necessarily. Give me your address for verification." I refused. I gave her my city and state and said that should be enough. She said she could not go further with out my address. They called me!!! So I am sure they can get my address if it is my bill! I asked to not be called again and she said the calls will continue if I don't provide my address. I said I will continue to not answer their calls. I feel like it was phishing for info.

It is portfolio recovery associates, they are junk debt collectors. Do not confirm or give them any information. They are a bunch of scumbags who could not have gotten a decent job.cuss them out or do not answer the phone, but do not try to reason with them or engage in any sort of conversation with them, because they have the mentality of a donkey and their only goal is to rip you off. Remember that if you make any payment on a time barred debt, you will reset the statue of limitation.Just tell them to F off.

Pick up phone, you must speak first then the phone connects with a less than ethical phone jockey. Is this job really what you want to do in life? Don't speak, they try every way to get you to speak. Before they hang up the make in a threatening voice that they called and I didn't cooperate. It wastes their time and they can't leave a message.

I got one of those calls.  Ext 7161.  "personal business" was the Message left to person at work who answered (I was out). I was suspicious as I'd gotten a call day before from someone claiming to be debt collector from Citibank so googled this # before returning call.
