- KenSame scam that went around the middle of last year, just using different phone #'s. They try to get personal information and access to your computer, then steal all your financial and other data and change passwords and lock you out. If you'll notice when you call them, they don't use a company name or come up with a fake name claiming to represent Microsoft. Microsoft does not call nor have any of it's tech's call for repairs, virus protection, or updates. These scammers originate out of Pakistan. FTC and FCC have both been contacted on this matter.
I received a total of 31 calls with the recording over a 3 month period of time from these scammers. Received a call from these scammers yesterday with this new number but same recording.
NO ONE can see a red flag warning on a virus protection that they installed without 24 hour access to your PC. Now do you want somebody having 24/7 access to everything you do on your computer?
All legitimate virus protection programs, Fixfox, Norton, etc. do not call if your computer has a virus.- Caller: No name given
- TomThere is a problem with software they installed last year.
