I just got a call from this number and the operator  identified herself as "on behalf of Mercy Core" When I told  her, because of so many scams that I will go to their website to make a donation (meaning Mercy Core) the operator said," we don't have a website and hung up." I called the number back and a recording told me that fundraisers are exempt from the National Do Not Call List and you have to leave some info on their line to get on their do not call list.

There are three options:
1. Contact your phone company to see if they offer "selective call rejection". This where you enter a phone number that you don't want to talk to, like this one, and then when they call, they just get a message saying that "this number is not receiving calls" or something to that effect, your phone never even rings. Depending on your phone service, you may have up to 32 numbers you can reject, and it may be free, or there may be a nominal monthly charge. My phone service gives me 32 numbers, at no charge. Anybody that calls a lot gets added, I have about 15 numbers on there now.
2. Buy a phone which does this same selective call rejection inside the phone. There are several on the market, some store as many as 100 numbers. This is a one-time charge for the phone, but no ongoing monthly fees.
3. There is free software available to allow a computer to do this function (and more). This requires keeping a computer turned on and connected to your phone line. Others on this site have described it in more detail.

This is a national charity group that solicits for charitable contributions. According to their recording they are exempt from the national Do Not Call requirements for business'. If you listen to the entire message they tell you haow to request opting out from either calls regarding specific charities or all their affiliate charities. I did as they requested and left my home number and asked to be taken off all their lists.  One caveat though is that they indicated removal from any new lists. So, you may be stuck on some lists and have to deal with those as they come up. Sucks! But, I will give it a try if they will get me opted out! Good luck!

Why would anyone even answer a call if they didn't recognize the number?   I never answer and just let voice mail handle it.

Call constantly. Even go through the do not call list and they still call with a different solicitation each time. Why don't the authorities shut this down!!!!????

So tired and annoyed with these phone calls.  They call late at night,  sometimes, 5x a day.  Checking into a lawyer,  harassing as far as I am concerned.

I had been getting calls from MDS from a different phone number. When I called them and asked to be put on their Do No Call list, I stopped getting phone calls from that number and starting getting them from this number instead.

It seems it's a waste of time to call them, they just use a different number call you.

I marked them as a telemarketer instead of a non-profit, because that's what they really are.

I pay for my phone they don't  Stop the calls.

Left voice message on my Machine Identifying themselves as Americans for Prosperity (AFP) asking me to send my Gas Bill to President Obama since our country is running on Empty. Good thing I didn't pick it up. I despise AFP and would have given them a piece of my mind.

I just got a call from this answer.  I didn't answer.

This number is used to call my cell phone several times per day and I want it stopped.

I'm now getting several calls a day from this number.  I finally answered it and got a brief recorded message followed by instructions to hold for an operator, but then it hung up.

I think they should stop calling my aunt's house phone. Otherwise, they will be in trouble.
