This number called me repeatedly over the last few days. I called it back and a recording said it was "Children's Leukemia Research Association". I checked that organization on Charity Navigator and found that 2/3 of their budget goes to fundraising! Paying people to call and annoy people like me! Aargh, when will it stop?!

Demand that they place you on their internal Do Not Call list for any and all charities they solicit for. By law they are required to have one and have 30 days to comply. If they refuse or call back after 30 days you can sue them in small claims court.

They have called here 3 times in the last two weeks.  I have asked them to no longer call us twice.  Tonight's call was a recording thanking ME for calling them!  They don't take NO for an answer.

The woman said she is from the ACS professional fundraiser services.  She said she is calling for Children's Leukemia and is sending pledge cards in the mail.   Last year, ACS started bombarding me with calls for different charities!  I think it began when a nice neighbor collected on the block for the American Heart Assoc.  I donated and the calls started like crazy.  Info on the Internet for ACS (Associated Community Services) states most of the money goes towards the Telemarketers, not the charity.  I told her to remove me from their call list.  Things get quiet for a few weeks, then more calls start up again.  They don't stop bothering people.  I've also received two calls at 8:15 am the past two days for Breast Cancer America!!

    STOP CALLING ME!

The last several weeks I have been receiving calls as early as 8:20 am and as late as 8:oo pm 'GINA" is her name, from the Children's Leukemia society. She wants to send out pledge cards . Fine send cards. However to speed things along she would like to charge my pledge to my account . Made one up. Ready for this...I was told I was as sweet as a kitten lapping up warm milk!! I lost it. Next call to the Leukemia society. This makes it hard for the real Society to get donations. How long will this go on?

The DNC does not apply to charity, political or some survey's. They are supposed to place you on their internal DNC when asked though, and yes, they can get into trouble for not doing so despite what they may say otherwise.  Consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
