A simple method of retaliation:

They call, I say sure, I'll donate.  When will your representative be here to pick it up.  Sorry sir/ma'am, I only give money to a real person.  When can I expect him/her to show up?

I've actually had a couple of them show up on my doorstep.  I tell them I'm sorry their trip was for nothing, I don't do business with any 1-800 Service providers.  If you want to stop making wasteful trips here, have my number removed from 1-800 Service.

I still get 1-800 Service calls, but if enough of these "charities", etc. complain about their time being wasted by false leads, perhaps they'll become less inclined to do business with them.

By the way, the people who actually did show up at my door to pick up a donation were very upset about not getting anything.  I'm sure 1-800 Service has heard of it by now.  We'll see ....

This organization calls 5 or 6 times a day. I care for my 96 year old mother and I cannot even express how disruptive they are to her wellbeing .no matter what you say to them they jus continue too harrang my entirehousehol. Stop already

These are pest always wanting mony

FCC needs to do more. In the last month in a half my "un-wanted" calls have doubled. I've been on the do not call list since 2005. Just because they "claim" to be a charity they believe it makes them exempt.

I have been getting these calls 8a.m.  this is my job. It wakes me and the 99yr old i take care of.  I tried  calling number to give a peace of mind.  But can not call back on number.  It has to stop.   Number calling is 8772418360

They call several times a day starting at 8:24 a.m..  When I try to say "take me off your calling list they hang up.

Caller ID number: 877-241-8630. Caller left a message "Are you there? Are you there?" then hung up. I did not p/u or call back.

Called at 8:15 pm.  Said Hello Hello and hung up.  I did not answer.

They call repeatedly.

Just got the call from this number. I have a blocker so the call did not get through... I did call back and it is the "Children's Leukemia Research Association." These charities always get the most out of our money and very little goes to the actual research... so sad...

I'm reallllly curious: your call blocker blocked the call, but you called the number back anyway, even with the knowledge that it might be a scam? Do you realize that scammers rely on curious people to call back, so they can verify that a phone number is "live," and then call repeatedly after that? Also, they can sell your "live" number to other scammers. This so-called "charity" could very likely not be what it claims at all, but a scammer just hoping to reel in a sucker. Please think before calling back unknown numbers.

8/27/15  Actually called last night 8/26/15 at 19:55, no ID and no message left.  I particularly avoid unidentified calls later in the day.  Pisses me off that they are using a "toll free" number and will attempt to block thru no mo.  I do agree also with JoeyDee, why the heck would you call back a blocked number?   That defeats the purpose of blocking.

this number calls all the TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!  I cant't return  call, mail box always full, I want to tell them DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER

8/30/15 11:59 PDT  Made the mistake of answering because I was, sort of, expecting a call confirming a service call tomorrow.  WRONG!  This was some person claiming to be calling of behalf of the Children's Leukemia Fund.  I admitted to be being me and as soon as she said who she was, I hung up.  I wasn't rude and I didn't slam the receiver down, but I hope the message got through.

Has called 3 times this week.  I do not recognize the number and do not answer the phone.

I used to just ignore these all days but  then I realized that all I was doing is cleaning up a puddle on floor everyday instead of stopping the leak. I now answer every time, pretend I want to buy, get them to email me, then subsequently have my attorney contact them to either settle or go to court. So far none have chosen court and I have had 11k in settlements the last 3 months, no joke.  If you want to make them stop make them pay. Works every time.

Three phone calls in one day from this unidentified Toll Free number.  Those are both warning flags that this is not a legitimate charity but a fund-raising machine with business practices like a debt collector.

They are at it again

I goofed and flashed from another Call.  The woman asked for my wife by name.  Then went into her speal.  This was the second call today.  According to AllAreaCodes.com  Area Code 877 is not a valid Area Code.  So you don't know where the caller is located.
