It says from TD bank but no one answers and someone is laughing in the background.  Usually calls around 18h.

Bogus TD Number. Been getting them for weeks now. Received a text on my cell saying it was TD too. Went directly to my bank they told me it is all a scam. Be Careful out there.

Don't want these calls will not take them on phone no need if I want to I will call and go into the bank... too many scams so don't call I won't answer I have no way of verifying you

I keep receiving a call from this number, so I called TD bank myself and they told me that no one from TD has been trying to contact me. They told me to report #.

It`s a machine that calls, that`s why there`s no voicemail. It`s a message saying, "You have a message please call this # to retrieve it"

The caller told me he was from RBC

This stupid annoying person keeps trying to call me at least once a week. Usually when I’m in the middle of dealing with a customer at work, my phone starts going off in my pocket! Makes me look like a complete fool. Never answered because A) I’m at work!! And B) there’s a scam going around in my area where people are pretending to be banks, and they can scam you out of a lot of money just by you answering them. They’ll say like “oh is this so and so?” And all you have to say is “yes” and they have that on recording, use it against you. Many cases of this going around lately, and I’m sure as hell not gonna get scammed! I wish this person would stop calling, super inconvenient and super ANNOYING!! If I knew for sure it was a TD Bank number, I’d be lodging a formal complaint to them!

Since you're at work, shouldn't your cell phone be off?
As for the "many cases" of the yes scam, they're nonexistent. That was simply an unsubstantiated rumor with no documented proof of anyone actually being scammed by someone saying the word yes.

It's once to three times a week I'll get these calls. I never answer unless they have actual caller ID or I'm actually expecting an important call. And if it's not this number, it's one of *three* other numbers that look similar.

Great experience! Indeed it's TD. I just said I wasn't interested in whatever they were offering and asked to be removed from their list which was promptly accepted. No questions asked. Kudos to TD!

SPAM Caller, calls several times a day, probably an autodialer

I was called and was offered some type of insurance. She said it would be free for the first month, that it would be covered by TD. She was kinda pressuring me to take it too. I said I'd read up on it on my own. It was unexpected and very pushy.

Told me they are TD bank and want to talk to me about renewing my mortgage with them as my 5 year term is coming up.... ok cool but anyone could know I purchased my home 5 years ago by doing a land titles search. So this could be anyone just posing as TD trying to get personal info. Not only that but I wouldn't renew with TD anyways since their rates are higher than everyone else right now. Lol
