Received another call this morning. I get several a week claiming they "have papers to serve". It was a robocall. Isn't it illegal to claim you have papers to serve when you have none? Don't they *have* to serve those papers within 24 hours of contacting you by phone? Can I challenge them in court if theydon't serve me? To the best of my knowledge, I am current on *everything* and have no pending lawsuits against me.

I have been getting a call from an unidentified caller for a few days saying they have papers to serve and to call 877 278 5268 to talk to plaintiff.  I have not responded.

Just received a call from a robot stating they have papers to serve me to either my place of business or residence and to contact the plaintiff at 877-278-5268. As far as I know I have no pending law suits against me and all bad debt was paid off years ago. Sounds like a scam, would not suggest answering or calling.

They called left voicemail and to contact Daniel watts. not calling back have no lawsuit! I think its a scam.

Got a voicemail from Daniel Watts saying he had a summons and complaint to serve on me and I should call 877/278-5268.  Called and was told it was Barker, Healy & Associates.  The woman said they had a summons and complaint for check payday loan fraud and a warrant was out for me and I would have to answer to the D.A. for it.   I have no such payday loan and really think this is some kind of scam.

I just got a call from them as well and they called my work number as well.  This is very interesting because when I called back I got the same message when I called, to leave a message because all representatives were busy.  I did not leave a message.  

The caller's name is Daniel Watts.  

Not happy at all with this and since it is a 000-000-0000 number, I had to call back the number they left in the message to call back for Barker, Healy and Associates.

this company is a joke, I had my husband to return call, because my husband is in law enforcement,  Mr. watts  hang the phone up on my husband, this company is a scam, my husband asked them about a warrant as what they indicated to me for a old pay day loan, mr watts became very upset and hang the phone up on my husband, I have no warrants or court hearings, this company is bogus.

I reported this to the fcc

I recieved the same message from Daniel Watts of Albert Kaufman & Associates.  The number on the caller ID shows up as 000-000-0000. They called once last Thursday and again today.  I called the number given on the recording (877-278-5268) and it went into another prerecored message stating that the company name was Barker Healy & Associates. The message had stated that I had papers to be served to me.  Since I have no current or prior legal action taken against me, the whole thing seemed really suspicious.  I googled all three people/firms and found no legitmiate websites for any of them, only this complaint thread.  I'm a pretty upright citizen (no outstanding debt, no lawsuits against me), so after reading all the messages on this forum, it certainly confirmed that this thing is bogus.  I reported to the FCC as well.

I too have received 3 calls so far from this number in the last 10 days. So I googled the number and found all of these comments.  I too am current in my finances and know of no one taking me to court. It was a Robo call as well.

I got a call from 877 278 5268 as well saying they needed me to serve papers and were from daniel watts? and that if I had questions I needed to call back the plaintiff....def seems like a scam after reading this three. I called back three times and got the message machine from "barker healey and associates". i did not leave a message. DONT LEAVE A MESSAGE that is what they want to scam you!!!!

who the [***] is daniel watts. i have no pending lawsuits, debt, or anything. this company is bogus. like laura above said, i would not call back and leave a message.

same her saying the same thing serving me with papers to call the 877 number it was to fishy so I havent bothered specially with all the scams going on wouldn't be surprised if its another one

I got the same message guy threatened me with an warrant made me pay two hundred dollars and I owe 1600 what do I do

I have been getting these calls for about a month and am quite sick of them already so after reading all of these posts I decided to call them back.....I called private (of course) and trying to sound like a robot, I left them the exact same message they leave on my voicemail. Good for a laugh anyway but may do it every time they call.

I have received several calls from this number 877-278-5268  Mr. Daniel Watts.  They state that they need to serve papers at my home or office, and to please call the Plaintiff back.  Horrifying call as I am not in legal trouble.  Law firm is Barker Healey and Associates.  No one ever pics up and ask to leave message.  I left message with phone # only and asked to be removed from the list.  I also just calleed the Texas Attorney Generals Office and made a complaint.  I have called the Federal Trade Commission as well.  877-382-4357.  Call this number and your state's Attorney General's Office.

I have also received three automated calls now from a Daniel Watts, claiming he has papers to serve to a person who used to have this phone number prior to Sept. 27, 2007 when it became my number.
I called back and of course had the same auto response of being placed on hold with no one answering and it going to voicemail as everyone else here,  and left a message telling them that I was reporting them to the attorney  Generals office for violating of the other persons privacy rights, ( The voicemail they left had his
Name in it) and I was reporting to the do not call registery as well. I also left the phone number they were calling and told them to never call here again.
I will now call the FCC as well thanks to another persons posting here..

i have been receiving the same kind of call and I'm sick of it I'm glad and sorry to know other people are getting this also i have nothing pending and I'm also law enforcement i thought a old gf was messing with me also. I will not call the number back and hope it stops i have got about 6 calls
