Caller said from Plymouth Rock.  Wanted gas information to save money.

I asked for his name, phone number and company name. Request to be on the do not call list.

Scam.

I just got a call tonight from this number.  They said they were with the gas company, and said that there is a new savings initiative on energy only being offered to certain households who were customers in good standing. They were calling to "inform" me that we would recieve 10% savings for a year starting at the time of the next upcoming meter reading.  But then he wanted some information from my bill to "confirm he had the right customer..."  Made no sense.

He told me his company working for National Grid.  It is not true,

These people just called me.
They are very deceptive, asked to confirm my account number.

Do not EVER ever give them information from your gas/electric bill.
They are not trying to confirm anything - they don't have this information and your utility company does not share this info with anybody.

Ask them to give you the information they have, they usually just keep asking.

If you give them your info, they can easily change your provider to their own company.
These awful scams really need to stop.

This company keeps harassing my senior citizen parents and driving them nuts.  Then I get a phone call from my parents to make it stop.  I try calling them and nobody ever picks up.  Does anybody know their address so I can send them a registered letter?

Scam broker calling from sales pitch looking to bait new customers. Offers initial low rate for  gas/electric/ fuel oil, then stick-it to you later.

Ask questions to verify listings purchased from some warranty, service, mailing list sold to them.

No up and up company is going to call on a toll free number for business at supper time. People DO NOT give ANY info to anyone. Ask for a NAME, ADDRESS, and a return phone number.

The company that makes these calls is a scam outfit. They are crooks. They use deceptive language to fool you into thinking they are calling from you energy company. The [***] that called me was obviously Indian, could barely speak english, and was either a moron, or was trained to decieve people.

This is an almost exact transcription of how the conversation went:

Me:  Do you work for National Grid?
[***]:  I am calling about the National Grid savings program.

Me:  That's not what I asked you. I will try again. Do you work for National Grid?
[***]:  I am calling about the National Grid savings program.

Me:  You obviously do not listen. Do you work for National Grid? I want a yes or no answer. Do you work for National Grid?
[***]:  I am calling about the National Grid savings program.

Me:  (in very loud voice, almost yelling) Are you stupid or something? I will ask you one more time. Do you work for National Grid, yes or no?
[***]:  No I do not.

Me:  Then why the [***] didn't you say that in the first place, [***]? Now what do you want?
[***]:  I am calling about the National Grid savings program.


This company is a cancer, and it must be stopped. Here is how...you must file a complaint as they did not follow the do not call list. You have no business relationship with them, and there is no reason in the world for them to contact you, other than to steal your money:

They indian person called me. Asking me for a CC to confirm... Said I made perfect payments. WRONG... I Missed one payment for PSEG...lol... DUMB PEOPLE !!!!

I got no less than 16 calls from this number (possibly more because any time a number calls more than once in a day, my phone call record only shows the last instance unless there are 2 different statuses for a call, i.e. I pick one up and I miss one, both will show up).  I have asked them repeatedly to take me off their list, until the last time I called, I picked up my phone and just started yelling "DO NOT CALL ME!  I HAVE TOLD YOU TO STOP CALLING ME!  LEAVE ME ALONE!" multiple times at the caller like I was crazy.  That finally stopped the calls.

They were trying to get a hold of the person in charge of the National Grid Electric and Gas bills (they should know that National Grid gas is incorrect in Buffalo if they are calling about it).  Problem is they had an Indian accent, so I know I'm getting a call center in like, New Delhi or Mumbai or something like that, and since I didn't initiate the calls, I'm not giving them information.

Get a call from this number numerous times a day, wanting to get info on an energy savings program, keep telling these Indians NOT TO CALL ME ANYMORE and it still happens on a daily basis!I want it to stop!!!!

please tell this company to stop calling me.
i am on the national do not call registry, so i am not sure why they continue to hound me with calls multiple times a day, starting at 8am in the morning. they want to offer me "energy savings" and i have told them once already i am not interested.

This people they did it again call my house phone 1st time female and now few minutes again male asking questions about electricity and gas bill.
