I rec'd a call on my home phone number (from 866-647-3068) and they asked for my son, by name.  I took their number (877-290-8894) and said I would have him call.  He called and they answered GC Services and asked for the phone number and said they could not match it up with any thing and said they would take my number off their list.  He pushed a bit and asked why they had called 5 minutes ago and she said she could not find him in the system and asked for the Capital One credit card number.   I asked what company they were from and they said GC Services on behalf of Capital One. WHAT A SCAM!!  Beware.

Call has come in a 457pm and 813pm no message left.

GC Services is who they said they were after answering the phone hello.  An Indian sounding man.  Said he was calling on behalf of Capital One Credit Cards and that I owed over $200 and was 31 days past due.  I pay my c/c online and had already done a payment yet he wanted me to do a payment over the phone for an amount that was different that my actual Capital One Payment.  I DON'T THINK SO!! It's the holidays and I am not paying anyone who answers the phone hello and gives me crap info.

I had the same thing happen and didn't give them didly squat because they fed me the same crap

I got a call from this number earlier today asking for a "ms emerson"
I explained to them that there is no one here by this name and I then proceeded to google the number. I came up  with this site. I am worried that this is a phishing scam so if anyone can tell me how to properly handle this situation please let me know

calls at least 3x a week , we screen so they never leave a message.

When i answered a automated message told me to hold for a important message, then 30 seconds later a real person finally answered to tell me my credit card bill was overdue....it was paid on friday. i'll never use capitol one again if thats the kind of crappy job their doing.

Calls several times a day, hangs up the phone upon answering!

1-800-727-5848 -- I received a bill from GC Services, P.O. Box 7820, Baldwin Park, CA 91706, in which they claimed that I owe $$$$$ from a so-called traffic violation way, way back in the 1990s. Then they started harrassment calls using 1-800-727-5848 under the guise of "Superior Court". A simple GOOGLE Search on "GC Services" and "1-800-727-5848" reveals that this company and the people that work for them are LIARS and have a track record of FRAUD. There needs to be a thorough legal investigation of this "GC Services" and "1-800-727-5848" by the appropriate authorities as this type of activity cannot continue by this fraudulent entity.
