Have received several calls from this number looking for an old neighbor of mine.  They ask me if I know how to get ahold of him, that I was put down as a reference by him.  I have told them repeatedly that I don't know how to contact him, and don't even know where he moved to, and that he has changed his cell phone number, so I know NOTHING, and to stop calling me.

According to Google search, this number is Resurgent Auto Finance out of Greenville, SC.

This company, calling itself Global Lending, is disregarding the numbers on the Do Not Call List -- I have received several voice mails from them during January and February 2014 asking for individuals by first name only.  I have called them back to report this and received belligerent treatment from ignorant representatives.  

Receive numerous calls from Global Lending.  The most rude and obnoxious people I have come in contact with over the phone.  They use foul language to get to you.  I would not ever do business with these disgusting people again.

Received call yesterday asking for Chuck Smith.  Received call today asking for Gregory Davis.  Have no clue as to who either of these persons are.  Today I confirmed that number called was indeed my phone number.  After hanging up got concerned about ID theft and did a return call to 877-298-1345  and got Elizabeth with Global Lending.  She did some searching of calls under those names and my phone number; didn't find anything.  She was very efficient and professional, but in light of comments above I'm concerned I gave her my real number.  Never did give her my full name.  A google search of phone number returned Resurgent Auto Finance.  Definitely not calling them.

Received a call from "Cynthia" asking for a Bernard Hardy.  Asked for a return call to 877-298-1345 X 56609.  Played the message back three times just to make sure:  "Cynthia" asks for a return call right away, "today" and also claimed today was April 17th.  Unfortunately, it is now October, so "Cynthia" must have been reading from the wrong script.

Caller ID was 765-977-2199, and not the 877-298-1345 number she wanted the callback to go to.  

Sorry, scumbag telemarketer - no soup for you.  

Received call from 480-368-5400; msg left for wrong name and stated I was listed as a reference for someone I know and wanted me to call back at 877-298-1345. Scam call.

These are not scam calls. This company is the lender for car loans. It could be the person they were calling had a number similar to yours and either it was entered into their system wrong or the person that got the car loan put your name and number down to scam the loan company. Loan companies don't always call the references until after a payment is missed and they can' reach the member. I am a customer of this company. They are the best.

So, you decided to google this number,and come to complaints ste, and write a glowing review, twice.  Even though, you knew all along who this number belongs to.  Writing shill posts is illegal.

This is a message board for discussing spam and scam phone calls.  Most people land here when the  google a phone number is harassing them.
How did you find this website?  Do you like Global Lending so much you googled their phone number to find a place to sing their praises?  Or did they pay you to post here?
This site has recurring problems with trolls posting good information about bad companies.  You may be one of them.
By the way - the post you replied to is more than 2 years old.

And still you refuse to give their information.  Just like a shill!  If they are so legitimate, why are you refusing to post their street address and website, if any?  BBB rankings don't mean anything - they gave Hamas (the terror group) an A - and it's easy to pay your way to a good rating!

The Federal Trade Commision takes a dim view of people writing reveiews for companies, when they have been paid for the review, and not revealing that they had been paid.

The phone number that is the topic of this thread does indeed belong to Global Lending Collections Dept.

However:
1) Scammers can fake what one sees on their Caller ID, so the call may NOT be from GLS
2) Your repeated posts defending GLS appear to be advertisements or defense of shill calls.
3) You still have not answered the question, "why did you come here if you knew who was calling?"
4) You seem to be ignoring the fact that the moderators are flagging your posts for violations.  That is typically a sign of a shill.
5) We will probably see if you morph into a troll, if you continue to post, in spite of moderator's flags.
