You shouldn't criticize someone else for not paying their bills when you obviously don't either. You wouldn't be getting a call from a debt collector otherwise, right?

Received call asking for me to let my neighbor know they are trying to call. My neighbor apparently used me as a reference without my knowledge. We don't talk anymore prior to this happening. Will block the call. Not my problem.

This is apparently an auto loan company called Global Lending Services that will call references listed on loan paperwork, as well as family, friends, or neighbors if you are behind on your payments. Their calls always display as "potential spam" because the number on the caller ID *never* matches the 877 number they give in voicemails or if you speak to them. (The number on the caller ID is also never the same, I checked my call log for the last few months, at least 3 different numbers that were definitely them based on voicemail timestamps since I don't always answer "potential spam" calls.)

Note: I am *not* a customer / borrower of theirs, they contacted me to "pass a message to" someone else. I am only sharing this information to help others who may be worried due to the volume of actual scam calls these days.
