For the hell of it, I just called them back.  Amazingly - a human picked up.  I told them I want to stop getting their calls.  He asked if my number belongs to  a business, and when answered no, promised to remove my number from their list.  See if you can do the same.

The new posters were required months ago for our state and we found them all for free online.
When I told the live operator that (the automated prompts don't seem to be able to handle entering 0
as the number of employees, if anyone's interested), he responded that they provide a service and update
posters so that we don't have to waste time doing it.  When I asked him about the time wasted in calling
someone who was not interested in their service, he hung up.  Caller ID shows this number and Unknown Name.

These guys called my desk and wanted to confirm my address. They said "is it still...?", trying to imply that they did this last year, which they NEVER have. The when I aske the operator if this was manditory, she told me yes. I told her I would have to inform my boss since he handles the money. She said the cost was around $70.00, their site is way less than that. Call Better Business Bureau?

How about just hanging up when scammers call you? Or is that too complicated?

They operate in all the states the staff is instructed to say they are from the particular state they are calling.
Report them to the attorney general they have been sued many times

Really?! What a poor attempt to "cover up" yourselves. If I EVER receive posters at my ONE PERSON home based business... I'll make some calls to the local Guidos to handle it!

The fatas have another business that they run out of the poster location. Cakepops, cakepopheaven.com. On research they have bothered to register the company, and are operating illegally! They never quit

I contacted the Labor Law Center (found online) to find out more.  They were helpful and said this company is a solicitor.  I immediately went to the "donotcall" registry to file a complaint.  If this company sends us the posters with a bill, I will have already registered a complaint.

Matt, I agree that hanging up would have been the smarter thing to do, but I thought it was an official call from the State of VA.  Once you've done what they said was required, THEN they ask for money.  It is important to stop these calls, and reporting them is the best way to do it.  I got sucked in, but maybe I can prevent that from happening to somebody else.

Mike, you said you found them FREE online.  Can you point me to the website?

What a joke! I am a friend of the girls who are getting Cakepop Heaven up and running and was most mortified when I saw this post.  They are not running out of a poster store.  The business itself IS registered in Dimondale, MI.  I think I know who posted that post though.  It is a very large girl -(sort of) who has an even larger mouth.  She must be jealous that she does not have an unlimited amount of cake pops to consume.  Well here is a tip, you repulsive beast diva you, - Ya don't need em'!

These people are idiots. They are trying to get you to think they are the labor board from your state and that you have to have these posters. I live in SC and the idiot girl who called (2nd time) said, "Hi, this it the North Carolina Labor Law Poster, etc, etc". I said that this is not NC and she said, Oh!, What did I say? That is when I knew it was a scam.

Dear Dummies who keep saying "But I'm on the Do Not Call List" - The Do Not Call List is for residential only. It does not...repeat DOES NOT apply to businesses. When you own and operate a business, you are in the public domain and can be called at any time. Get over it.
