Are you seriously happy that you spend money every year for something you can get for free. You must not have been negatively impacted by the lovely economy like the rest of us. Your choice to waste money on this absolute scam.

If you are in Michigan, you can go to Michigan.gov and search them. I assume it would be similar in every state. You can always call you particular state's labor office and get them sent FREE as well. I truly hate every disgusting scammer out there who makes their living by stealing honest people's money.

I have a friend that use to work for this filthy company.  The state of Iowa is launching an investigation that hopefully will put a stop to them harassing and robbing  true business owners in that state. Contact your Attorney General immediatley

I'm glad I went to google the number before calling back! Upon reading all of this, I was able to get the painfully unprofessional receptionist(?) to delete the number to the office I work at. How'd they even get our number in the first place? This is a privately owned (and very small) business up in Alaska, for goodness sake. They had better not call back. Or they'll have to hear from ME.

I just started working at a firm where I'm the only assitant. Haven't been here more than a couple of months, so when I got the phone call I thought it sounded pretty legit... up until the point where they asked me for the office credit card / check information over the phone.

At first, I spoke with a woman who confirmed all of the address/owner information and then she transferred me to a supervisor. The supervisor informed me that the call would be recorded from this point forward and then proceeded to ask me for the credit card information. Not entirely sure what to make of them, I requested that they send me a written bill but the supervisor informed me that they do not send written statements, only receipts for payments and only upon request.

That's when I came here to get feedback.

Lesson: NEVER give credit card / check information over the phone unless YOU are calling the other person with the intent to make an over-the-phone purchase.

There prices are absurd compared to everywhere else, especially considering that from the looks of it, their posters are outdated.

Just got a call from Joe in Customer Service at WI Labor Law Posters.  He tried to tell me that we were two weeks past due on complying with the law regarding updating our posters and then asked for a credit card number or checking account to make payment over the phone in the amount of $195.  SCAM!

I got a call today 2/5/13 from a Shaniqua or Latisha at "Labor Law Poster Service" She told me the new labor law posters for 2013 were in, and that she had to ask just a few questions before she could send them out. She asked me my name which i told her and then she asked if i wanted them to be sent out. I told her no im not authorized to make any decisions im only filling in for someone this week. Dont know if they will send anything but i told her i would have someone call her back. So she gave me 877-321-4144 i asked should i have them ask for you  and she said no whoever answers will be happy to help. I *69 the last number that called and it was 617-990-8058 which is local to me i called back and a different woman answered Labor Law Poster Service.

Just got the exact same call, same scenario. I never give any kind of "affirmative" answers (no yes, good, okay, etc.) because they can cut up the audio to make it sound like you agreed to their service.

Thank you for the information. I, too, used to work for a horrible company - sold car warranties that either (a) couldn't be used, or (b) they'd find a way out of paying for something it actually did cover. Places like that really suck, and they really do hire the bottom-feeders. Folks like that don't care what they do just as long as they get paid. And yes, most were high or drinking on the job. I lasted about a month before I realized what was going on.

I used to work for this piece of crap company. It's full of liars & scammers. There are things called "Filemakers" which means that at ONE point, this company has sent YOUR company posters free of charge just to try to get your business... (typically took place in like 2001) Then they lie to you & say "We're the company that provides your labor law posters" even though they never really have & if you count free as supplying them it's still been over 5 years. & I literally used to get written up for changing the script & saying "We're the company that HAS provided your labor law posters at one point". They told me it's not acceptable & it makes them question the call. We then have to rebuttal them & tell them the posters are required by law & that they can be fined if they don't have the laws posted... pretty much trying to scare the customer into purchasing something they don't need. What's even worse is that they call every single year, multiple times to update you for the "new years" posters & some companies actually purchase them annually when there hasn't even been a CHANGE in the labor laws for years. It really was a horrible job. I just want people to know that you are NOT required to purchase these posters from ANYWHERE... you can get the information for free online or from your department of labor. Please be mindful of who you do business with as well. I hope this helps!!!!!
