Actually, they are calling my daughter on her cell. requesting the standard VITAL private info: SSN, DOB, etc. trying anything to get info for identity theft. Of course, when I tried to get a hold of someone, they become agressive, abusive, etc... Funny thing is, I have an attorney on retainer...I don't think they believe me...(LOL) AND, we've been enrolled in the FDNC for over a year! Got em right where I want them, just wish I could get a physical address on 'em. (ps., trying to link to their site: www.favoritecreditcards.com takes you immediately to a host of "freebee" credit cards - just thought you'd like to know)

I received a phone call this morning asking for my 8 yr old granddaughter. Asked for her by her nickname. I sked Who?  They said her name. I asked what they wanted with her and who were they and the phone went immediately silent. Called the police to see what I should do. They said it was probably a solicitor but the phone company could block the number. I didn't know the name of the company, was glad to find this site.

Just got off the phone with a call from this number. An east Indian man asked for my wife by name. I informed him that she was not home but I would be happy to help him. He told me that it wasn't necessary and he would call later. If this is, indeed, a telemarketer, let's hope he doesn't call back.

However, my question is this: what good does the Do Not Call Registry do? This is not the first time someone associated with the company has called.

877-326-5877 this number calls about 2x a week, luckily when no one is home. I do not see how it is legal for them to keep doing this. I think its really creepy that they know things about people, that they shouldn't, there should be some law. I just hope they don't call when my kids are home and talk with them!

i get around 6 calls a day.  i put it in my phonebook on my cell, so when they call, i just hit the end button.  i've been getting calls from them for about a month now.  something like that.  they always leave a voicemail.  a recording for me to "press 5 to activate your account" or "to hear this message again press #".  kind of like when you are on hold to talk when you call them.

man with a heavy foreign accent callled saying I was preapproved for a Citi or Chase credit card. he asked me to verify my date of birth. When I told him that I was not comfortable giving that information over the telephone, he started talking about how they got my credit info from Experian, and a couple other credit reporting agencies, I then told him that if he had my credit report that he would see my info on it, and asked him to verify the date of birth to me, and I would tell him if it was correct, he refused, I then asked him for a phone number I could call him back at and was given 888-712-9285, and I asked for his employee ID# (I work as a CSR in a call center, and know that this they will give me on demand) he gave me his EID as RFV0110. I did reverse lookup on google and found this site... thanks for posting every1!

I fell for it when I heard Citibank. They got my info, and I told them DO NOT charge me for any of the "services" they were selling. She said I can cancel later. I said "no, don't charge me, I don't want it", and I was then hung up on. Can not get through on their number to cancel.

I just reported them as I am on the Do Not Call list.

I called the number you left in you message and it went straight to voicemail, without a company name. Did you get the same or have any luck reaching them?

Got a call at 8:50 p.m. and it was silent and then disconnected.  I imagine it was an automatic dialer checking if somebody answered at my number.  I did call it back and the recording was made in a woman's voice that definitely sounded like a Filipino accent (I'm half, I should know)

first call was on 10/12/07 at 11:06am....a middle eastern person called and said he was with the SS office and I have been awarded a SS check for $500.  I asked for his name and number and he refused. A bunch of noise in the background.  I advised him this was illegal and I was going to report him and not to call my phone.  He said he would continue to call me and called me a "f***ing B****" over and over.  I advised him his mother was.  second call was on 10/23/07 at 2:49pm.  middle eastern person asked for me and I advised him he had the wrong number and hung up. there was a bunch of static in the background. called the number on my caller id back just to see what it would say and it stated some credit card company with a bunch of static in the background. I'm on the do not call list but these people keep calling. is there not a way to track this mostly likely illegal operation and shut it down?  I believe these people are just contacting people to get their information to steal.

This number is from the Citi-bank or some other bank/credit-card company posing as them.
They do not stop if you yell at them, curse at them, hang up on them, play good music to them, or play death metal to them.

If you threaten police action for harassment (or anything else I assume) they tend to not call back.

I am so sick and tired of receiving these calls.  I am on the Do Not Call registry but they still call.  I have asked them repeatedly to quit calling me but no luck with that.  THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED!  Who do we need to contact?

I did not answer the call. The caller id said "no name". Caller left no message.  But they have called before, same result.

hi i did put my number on the do not call and it stopped for about a month- now im getting them again every day.. do you know who i contact to report it since they are violating the do not call....

I have been receiving a call from this person or company for months now,they are always calling for another person. I have told them repeatdly that this is my cell number and I have had it for 10 yrs and I have no idea who they are looking for. I have asked them to remove this number form their list, and I have my number listed on the no call list. This call comes through every day at approximately 9:00AM even Sunday. I am really tired of this.
