Received a phone call from 877-326-8786 (left message) wanting to know if I knew who took care of my Mother's (they did state her name) estate.  Please call back 877-326-5535 Mon.-Thurs 7:00am - 7:00 pm Friday 7:00am-5:00pm.  After reading all the comments above, I am ignoring the message and have no plans on calling them back. They can leave all the messages they want, and I have told the rest of the family not to answer either one of those phone numbers.

I've been receiving intimidating, and threatening phone calls by a man, who claims to be a private investigator, "John Hunter, with BCM debt collections."  He had enough personal info. of my debt., and has made numerous calls to my place of employment.  How do I report him, and make him stop calling me?  it seems I'm not the 1st to receive these calls from BCM.

I received a letter regarding collection matters about my sister's "estate.  They were representing Chase Bank and GE Dental Insurance thru Aspen Dental.  I called them and they were professional and very nice.

I am sorry to hear that many people had problems with this DCM Services collection agency.  I'm glad that my experience has been so much better.

Woman with Asian name called looking for the person responsible for my son's estate.  Did not talk to her.  She left message, but did not identify the company, nor the reason for the call.  Some how they got my cell phone number.  I do not answer numbers I don't know.  They will get nothing from me.  This type of scam is appalling and the lowest form of humans preying on people who have lost loved ones.  May the owners of this scam rot in hell.

Its a collection agency, thats their job to call you & collect debts. Dont go into debt in the first place? But no one should be responsible for any ones debts, but their own.

Got a call this morning from DCM, 877-326-8786, wanting to know if I were related to (name withheld). Pretty amusing -- she was referring to my ex-husband, from whom I was divorced in 1979. She would not tell me who had given me her name, didn't reveal that she was representing a debt collection company. Offered to take my name off the call list, and I told her that would be a good idea, since she was bothering me, she did not pay my phone bill, and I wanted no more contact with them. My ex died nearly a year ago . . . no WAY am I giving a pondscum debt collection company any information about his heirs!

Yes, this is a debt collector who will go to any means to find out info and will even attach a lien to your house, car or whatever.  This is what I have read about DCM LLC.  This is like the last step collection agency and they supposedly have means that other collection agencies do not have.

Wow, that is a VERY vague post making some  very audacious claims.  Please provide specific examples on these "extreme measures" this company can take that other can't

Please provide specific links to "what I (sic) have read about DCM LLC".  If not, I would suggest all readers view this post with skepticism and a possible attempt to intimidate consumers

Dumbass, the relatives of people which die without assets or an estate are NOT responsible for their loved one's bills provided they did not co-signer for them.

You and your collector buddies are lower than dirt to try and bully grieving people for money. How do you look at yourself in the mirror? Go back to school and get a respectable job.

Yes, their 'last step' methods are to pout and whine like little [***]. If a person dies without assets or an estate and the relatives did not co-sign for the debt, the relatives are not responsible for their loved one's debts.  In these cases the debt passes with the deceased.

To sum it up for you and your collector friends, your are SOL..... figure it out.

Thanks for weighing in on this.  In general, the shilling and trolling that happens in DC threads can be somewhat tasteless.  However, when that behavior is coming from people attempting to collect from relatives of a recently deceased individual it is truly diabolical.

I wonder if trolling here is one of their "last step methods"?

If this company specializes in finding estates of the deceased, and they are so good at it, why don't they simply contact the executor.  Probate records are a matter of public record.   If there is no estate and no letters of administration or testamentary were ever issued, then that means the debt collector is simply out of luck.   Yet they continue to call family members trying to get them to pay up despite the fact there is no estate and no assets in the name of the deceased.  Absent some co-ownership situations  of certain kinds,  the survivors are not responsible for the debt s of the decedent.

If they call you, and there's no estate and no assets, tell 'em to get lost.  Tell 'em to check the death certificates and cross check at the courthouse.  That's their job.

    Can't believe these people.

They have nothing.   They can't attach anything to an estate that doesn't exist.  Yes, if there are assets and the executor isn't paying off the debts as he or she should,  the creditor can intervene and request a payment.  That's not likely to happen because the court approves the appointment of executors and administrators.  But that's about it.  No one can attach a lien to an estate without the consent of the executor or administrator and the court.  Period.   No executor or administrator can pay anything out in the ordinary  course of his duties except ordinary and necessary costs of the estate. This would include things like taxes, insurance on real estate and those kinds of things.   And yes ordinary outstanding civil debts if there are any and they can be proved.  Credit cards and the like.  But that is only if there is enough in terms of assets.   Depending on what state you live in there are statutory priorities.  All creditors have to stand in in line as it were.

This company has nothing.  They have nothing!   All they are doing is what other scammy debt collectors are doing:  trying to scare the survivors or some distant family member  into paying a debt that's  clearly noncollectable owing to lack of an estate.

I'd tell 'em to get  lost if they called me.  Probably tell 'em a lot worse.

This company is trying to extort money from my mom for a past debit for a deceased family member. You can not collect on a decease family member, period.
The law states no one is to pay a debit for a decease family member.
    Thank you,

I am getting phone calls from 877-326-8786.  I don't answer because I am grieving terribly but someone named Bronson leaves messages regarding my husband's estate.  My husband just passed away 12 weeks ago and I have already called all his credit cards and loans etc.  They told me I was not responsible for his debts since he was the only one who signed on these accounts.  But I get collections calls everyday from about 4 different numbers so I talked with a lawyer.  My lawyer told me I was not responsible for this debt and not to answer these calls....if a company cannot or will not give their name then it is a scam.   The call back number is 800-651-7836...different from incoming call.

    GOOD FOR YOU!

Them monsters trying to collect money from those who have died are the most evil of life forms existing on this planet, next to lawyers of course.

I also lost my parent/best friend earlier this year, and the monsters think they will collect from his estate. Well, to you monsters, my parent left me a lot of money, however, we planned well in advance AND IT WAS ALL CASH IN A SAFE DEPOSIT BOX, so as far as you are concerned there is nothing left for you or any other Creep that thinks my parent or I owe you anything.

My parent never owed anyone anything, towards the end I made several decisions I deemed correct and proper ...

PUT THAT IN YOUR CRACK PIPE AND SMOKE IT      DEBT COLLECTORS/AGENCIES
You will never collect one cent from me or my dead parent. LOLOLOLOLOLOL all the way to the bank.
