They clog up our fax line with calls and have been doing so for months. Someone obviously gave them a wrong number. It is a dedicated fax line and they still attempt to call multiple times a day. The junk fax blocker is on, but it still rings twice before it goes to the blocker. Not sure we want to attempt to file a complaint as we don't think they will care and will continue to harass a business which has no one here with outstanding issues of any sort.

They are pesky people.  Last time they called, I answered & said, "yes, I am <my name>".  When the lady with the South Asian accent said she had to ask me some questions to verify it was me, I asked her if I was a liar.  She stuttered apologies as she tried to say that she didn't mean to imply that.  When she asked me any question, I would say that I am not giving my personal info to anyone over the phone, especially someone with an accent from a part of the world known for identity theft.  I then said, "You tell me my birthday & I'll tell you if you're right", to which she said she couldn't .  After about 15 minutes of this, she finally gave up and hung up on me.  If you talk to them, make sure that you have an app to automatically record calls.  If you can get them to give you some of your personal info, you can cause hell with them.

Kepp calling but they dont leave any msgs. When i blocked my number and tried to call them back they greeted you in french. But i dont remember anything that i should be in collections. Omg! So annoying.

How many times will you allow them to call before you obtain a call blocker?  Google (or your favorite search engine) is your friend.

On June 28, 2017: The Supreme Court of British Columbia has confirmed Consumer Protection BC's finding that CBV Collection Services Ltd. (CBV), a national debt collection agency, broke the province's Consumer Protection Law.
They have had multiple actions and have had to pay fines in the past. Surprised they keep doing illegal practices.

They called before 8. By law you can't call a  residential number before 8 am. I worked in a call centre so I needed to know this law for call backs. So they break the law if they call before 8.

They keep calling and I keep blocking then they come back with another #, I've blocked about 10 of them now.

It is a third rate debt collector, one of those businesses that buy up at a dime to the dollar, debts that have been deemed uncollectable. Then they proceed to call at all times of the day and night, while sending daily reports to credit bureaus in the hope of terrorizing people into paying. Only way to stop them is to visit their office while wearing a boxing glove with brass knuckles inside.

The message is a recording in French with my name. They phone all the time.
