Telemarketer

Received a call from this number stating they are direct energy and that i owe money, beware this is fraud. I called direct energy myself during business hours and they say they have not call me nor do i owe any money.

This number is calling me every few days. (recorded message)
They say that the are Direct Energy Regulated services and ask me to call back regarding my account.
When i call back, there is just a machine saying that nobody is available...please leave your name and number. Then nobody callas back........and then another phone call everry few days.

This is a fraud account.  It's not a real one.  Called Direct Energy and they didn't know anything about it and I didn't even have an account with Direct Energy.

i just phoned these [***] back........they answered........i let them know that the only person who has my number is my terminally ill mother............that when the phone rings i immediately phone 911 to send an ambulance to my mother's residence as that is the deal when she phones my cell phone rather than my landmine.............told them they will be legally responsible to cover the costs of the ambulance i called for no reason.............remove me from their calling list or i would sue for the cost of the ambulance and harassment............will see if this works............hopefully everyone out there can come up with a story that puts these [***] in their place..................phone them back and let them know how you "feel" about their scams !

This is totally fraud. I just called and some East Indian lady answered and couldn't tell me why they kept calling. I told her it was fraud and I was reporting it to the police. And she said "yes just one moment" What the heck!! I hung up on her. I will contact Global News as well.

Just got a call from these guys and it was an automated machine saying that it was Direct Energy Collection Services and I could press 1 to talk to someone or call back.  I called Direct Energy immediately and was told that there was no reason for them to call, everything was great.  I then called the number back and told them they had no reason to call me and that I had spoken to Direct Energy myself.  They claimed that it was different and that I must have just spoken to customer service.  Then she said isn't this *********.  I told her no that that wasn't me and she said she would remove the phone number.  I then told her I knew it was fraud and would be contacting my local police.  She just kept saying over and over that she would remove my number from the automated list.  I hung up and called "Phone Busters-1-888-495-8501" to report them.

Just got a call from an automated machine saying that it was Direct Energy, that they needed to speak to me about my account and I could press 1 to talk to someone, waited a min or two to hold music but no one ever came, so I hung up. I figured it was fraud as I had called them two days prior and got a customer service agent almost immediately. After the "fake call from them", I called them back myself and they said nothing was wrong with my acct and that there was no reason for any phone calls.

I called Direct Energy prior to calling these guys back so I knew exactly how much was on my account. They are claiming to be Direct Energy Collections and when they asked me to verify my address I refused and told them I knew this was a scam since I knew the exact amount owing (was less than $1). They are to remove me off their calling list but we will see if they actually do it.

I did not receive phone calls to my knowledge, but I have a collections agency that has reported a debt supposedly sourcing from Direct Energy.  After reviewing the collections agency and other information online, it is either completely a scam or someone fraudulently opened an account in my name.  I'm just wondering if you or anyone else here that has received this scam phone call has anything reported on their credit report that could be linked to this....  Thanks!

Follow the steps in what you need to know, send a cease & desist letter via certified or return receipt us mail. Demand debt validation sent via US mail and make sure you get your dispute letter back to them in the 30 day's.  I would make sure the credit agencies receive copy's of everything and place fraud alerts on your ids & credit.

this number was on an email saying it was the loss prevention of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac and that because I had been turned down before they want me to contact them again.  I only opened the email because we are vendors for Freddie Mac.  All just a scam!

I live in Alberta, Canada just got a call from this number.

This number is calling me from a land line AND the internet using domestic and international calling codes, I have since blocked it. When it calls from land line, it's 'Direct Energy' and when it calls from 011--------it's a collection agency automated voice saying my name wrong....I don't have HAVE directed energy OR loans or a car or a mortgage or anything....total scam.

Received voice mail from these guys attempting to get payment for our service address.  They tried to get our credit card number.  

To be fair, when your Enmax natural gas gets 'deselected' you automatically revert to Direct Energy. Until you get things figured out with Enmax you are on the hook for the cost of your gas with Direct Energy. And Direct Energy's call centres are all based in India. However, I think it is a questionable customer service practice to call ME, then ask ME to wait on hold while they connect someone. I refuse to do this.

Garbled warbled marble talk that makes about as much sense as placing the call in the first place did.

Called me Oct 3,5,12 and 14 th.
No one speaks,silence and after 3 hellos from me I tell them to go to hell and hang up.
The only exception was Oct 5 where it was a recorded message from the "so called" Direct Energy" regarding a bill.  Load of crap, nothing but another scam!

They keep call and don't leave a message. Stop calling me. Now
