It is NOT Earthlink (whatever that is) or MS society.  The7y are also using the numbers 877-878-3815, 877-857-1144, 877-878-0954 and this one - 877-333-6679.  I also get 866-655-6731 which might be them too.  Look up the comments on 877-857-1144 - it seems like there was some creep trying to find out where a young girl went to school...That really made me worry about these calls.  It's possible they are looking for kids!!!  Maybe if you sound young enough they talk to you & try to get information about where you are located!!  Do you notice you get hang ups from this number & they never leave a message???  SOME people get someone on the line, but many people are just getting hang ups.  

It's possible that the numbers really belong to earthlink or MS society, but I don't think those are the numbers that are actually calling!

Receiving calls from this number daily at random times.  Today they disconnected after our answering machine picked up, resulting in a 5 minute message on the machine with the disconnection sound. I called the number.  It is in fact the MS Society looking for donations.  You can press an option for having your number removed.  You then enter your ten digit number.  They have a disclaimer saying that Federal Law does permit them to take up to 30 days to remove your number, but they will do their best to remove it within the next few days.

Caller requested to speak with my wife, we changed the phone directory to identify if they are using a phone list.   I assume they are looking for donations, but not so sure???  They did not leave any further details.

Call- annoy me - no message.

This message comes every day and i never answer it as its a scam i sure.

I received this call today when I was out. If it is MS, that is interesting because MS called me just yesterday and said they're not asking for money, just me to give out letters to friends, which they will send to me. I agreed, but not sure what these letters are or how many there will be. But why would they call back today?

Various numbers including this one, on various sites. Some report it as the Multiple Sclerosis Society - however there are a lot of scammers out there to pretend to be legit charities to try and get your personal info.  Never provide your info - if you want to get involved, look up the legit number and call them yourselves.

Note: I gave a donation In Memoriam and told the MS Society 'Do Not Solicit Further' - they harrassed monthly for two years in various formats (and I told them to stop EVERY TIME) until I finally wrote three letters proving 'abuse' to the Office of the Ombudsman before they finally stopped.  They have their own call centres, so don't need to be 'renting' various numbers and faking who they are.  So I find the rash of calls from all different call centre numbes in the past month to be totally suspicious.

Legit Charities are exempt from the Canadian Do Not Call Registry, as are polling/market research firms (an election is coming up, the parties want to know what you think!)

I get call 3 o r 4 x a day from most of those phone no's he has up there. Most of the time I don't ans. them and they don't leave a message. They also don't talk if I do ans. so I just hang up..really annoying though.
