I got the same message as Zelda.  I told my wife, this has to be a crap call, no legitimate attorney would be calling from a 877 number.  Same name:  Michael Williams.

i just got the same call.  However, when i called the 877 # back, a David Porter answered saying the 877 was forwarded to his office "David's Law Office"?? He also told me a summons would be issued for me, gave me an old address of mine and said if i could not be reached a possible bench warrant would be issued.

Sounds like i should ignore, but i DO NOT want to go to jail?!

    Your feedback is much appreciated.

It's a scam - no one gives you a heads up you're going to be arrested or served court papers.  The cops or court process servers just show up.  Call your local police department and run it by them.  Call your local courts also - if you really were in trouble, they would have paperwork at the police department and/or the local court showing this.  Only shady collectors and scammers threaten people with court summons and arrest - they do this to scare people into paying debts that they either don't owe or were paid off already.

NEVER pay anyone unless they mail you documentation proving you owe a debt and that they are legally entitled to claim and collect said debt in your state.  Read about the FDCPA (Google it) and learn your rights as a consumer.

FCC is the one to call.  This seems to be a follow up to some calls last week from 916 and 415 numbers saying they had an OLD, OLD outstanding  bill and that if I didn't pay willingly they would have to get "forcible reimbursement".  Sounds like the mafia days of my youth.  At age 80 all they'll get if they shoot my knees is some titanium.

We received a call from this number twice. The only thing was they did ask for someone with our last name but that person has been dead for over 30 yrs.( He would be well over 100  by now) so we just directed to the m cemetery where he was buried.  I really dont Know how so many deceased people are taking out loans.

Received call twice, same Michael Williams from Nationwide processing. Ignoring as if debt being collected it would be sent via mail or process server.  If they want me, they know where to find me, after I get a legitimate address & phone number to check with the FTC.

OMG, after reading all these posts has made me feel good. I just recieved this call 5 minutes ago they left me a message with no information just to call this number 877-338-2158 or there will be a warrant for my arrest. I called the number and I said what place have I called and he hung up on me. Then I called back and stated who are you and why you left me a message. First off not one bill collecter should be calling me about nothing. I got discharge papers staying other wise. He then proceeded to tell me that I commented a crime and that I can avoid all this by settling today. When I asked to get an email with all this information he could not supply one. I was scammed 2 years ago so now I investigate before I do anything and I am sure glad I found these commnets. Thank you

I just received call from "Michael Williams" same number as above calls.  He said he was calling from Nationwide Processing and to call back immediately as there was warrant with your name and social security number and it would be served by the date (never gave the actual date) if I did not respond immediately.  I went online to check out this since it sounded totally like a scam.  Glad to find others who have not been taken in by these crooks.  Also, this site helped to me at ease that I was right that the police and court system do not offer you the option to pay your way out of being served if there are legitimate warrants out for your arrest.  I am also going to report this caller.
