Well I hate to break it to you but you clearly don’t know how to use teamworks. Wells Fargo should probably re-evaluate why they hired you because our department DOES exist. Thanks

A call from 877- 352.-0969 was received. The  call was received today by someone claiming to be from Wells Fargo. Mentioning that there has been an attempt to withdraw monies from the account. They said that they just needed to confirm/verify some information, I.e name and address. Approximately two hours later, $500.00 mysteriously disappeared from my account.  The irony of this is that the REAL  Wells Fargo Fraud Department never called.

Spoke with WF directly, this is NOT a WF number.

Received a call from 877-352-0969.  Did not recognize the number so didn't answer.  Voicemail stated she was from Wells Fargo Fraud alert in Atlanta and to call back before 5:00 p.m. eastern.
I called Wells Fargo main office instead and they confirmed that this is not their number and there were no issues on my card.

I was called from this number today and the caller has said I had a suspicious activity on my account. She wanted to know where I opened my checking account and my date of birth. I looked up my accounts in the Wells Fargo app on my phone and everything was fine. I didn't give her any information and called the number on the back of my card. Wells Fargo let me know that there was no suspicious activity. This is a SCAM. All people on this site claiming that this is a legitimate Wells Fargo phone # are misleading us. It's SCAM and they are probably involved in this scam. Never ever give any information on the phone to anyone who calls you. You're better off to hung up and call the number you find on the back of your card and find out what's going on.

Received a call this morning from 8773520969 claiming to verify unusual activity on my account. He gave me a claim number. I told him I need to verify his call. He said I could go into a branch or contact Wells Fargo using the number on the back of my card and be transferred to him by any banker. I called and  the 2 people to who I spoke, neither could verify his information or transfer me to him.
They did say that they could neither deny or verify his name, the reference number, or the phone number. They did go through my account and verified that everything was fine and put a note into my account with his name and the reference number he gave. If he calls again and does not see that note, then I would put it down to being a scam.

I got a phone call on answering machine from this number saying it was a customer fraud detection from Wells Fargo about unusual transaction on a account and they gave a reference number. I was not sure if was a scam phone call. Went to local bank and there was 2 large transactions  that were not made by us. So I suggest if you get any of these calls saying they are from your bank you go to your local bank and ask questions !

Local Wells Fargo branch DID NOT call the phone number I gave them of the people who called me, they had there own phone number for fraud dept. Banker could not find this number in the computer as a Wells Fargo legit number.

i am a private trustee so I have lots of accounts with Wells Fargo. Received a call from this # regarding fraud on account.  Called # back and when they started asking personal information I hung up. Called the local branch where I know the bankers and they agreed it was fraud

My wife and I both received this call, same message, same reference number, same guy.  We called WF fraud department on our own using a different number from our card.  Our account is fine and the reference number and other info we were given was fraud, as per legitimate WF.  Scam.

Received call from this number. Claimed to be from Wells Fargo fraud and wanted to verify some information. Asked for state bank account was opened. The mans voice was too deep. Sensed a voice modification and felt fishy to me. I hung up, called number on card and spoke to Wells Fargo. They stated my accounts were fine and that number was not associated with them. SCAM

Claimed to be Wells Fargo Customer Fraud Detection Atlanta and wanted to verify some unusual transactions in my account, even with a reference #.  Called the number on the back of my card, nothing abnormal and representative said it was not their number.  So I think it should be SCAMMER.

I hung up it was very weird for the call and I called Wells Fargo Customer Service. It was an actual call from them.

Received a call this morning regarding fraudulent activity and to call 877-352-0969, Michelle Mitchel left me a reference number and even stated that if I can't call them back that I can go into a branch and speak to a personal banker (the steps they will do to make the entire call sound legit). So after typing the number in my search browser this site came up, some reviews state the call is legit so I went ahead and did a secure message to Wells Fargo and this is their message to me:

I received your email about the suspicious telephone call you received.

Telephone or voice phishing is a phishing attempt made through a
telephone call or voice message.

Fraudsters may have the ability to spoof their caller ID so it appears
that call is from a legitimate company. They may also have identifying
information, such as your name.

* What to do
If you're speaking with someone claiming to be a Wells Fargo team
member, you didn't initiate the call, and you feel uncomfortable, ask
for the purpose of the call and for a call-back number.

Before using the number, use legitimate sources to verify the number,
including:

- Wellsfargo.com
- Bank statements
- Phone numbers on the back of your ATM, debit, or credit card
- 1-800-869-3557

If you released account information, please call us immediately at the
phone number above. We're available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you're not a Wells Fargo customer, please contact your financial

BEWARE PEOPLE! These people are GOOOOOOOOOOOD! But I'm not one to be fooled that easily.

Legitimate call requesting verification of large check.

1, you're replying to a post from 3 years ago. That person is never going to see your comments.
2, since you already know to whom this number belongs, why would you need to look it up?
3, have you somehow never heard of phone number spoofing?

1877-352.0969 called my place of employment to speak to me about verifying a payment. They did not ask for me by last name and wouldn't give any information other than the call back # to verify payment and reference # that doesn't match normal Wells Fargo numbers. This toll free actually has a machine that sounds legit and says it's Wells Fargo but I don't have a Wells Fargo account and would never link my place of employment phone number to anything personal. Clearly a scam.
