I received a call from a "Private" number.  The lady (Nicki Sullivan) left a message saying that they were sending someone to my residence and place of employment (although I have been unemployed for a year) to serve me an affidavit to appear in court.  She said if I had any questions or concerns to call 877-350-4265 and reference number 190668.  When I called the number it was for a National Check Recovery Services.  However when I looked up the number and it was listed as belonging to the Law Office of Anthony H. Rodriquez.  Now I have been harassed by these people before.  The thing that threw me is she gave me a date - Wednesday Jan 18 - as the date I would be served.  So now I am not sure.  Has anyone else had the same thing?

Don't worry about it they don't show also they will never collect on it.  In a couple of states online payday loans were and still are illegal.  They can not collect anything on an illegal debt and that is why they never show to serve these "papers".  If they don't stop they will be in violation of the The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act which can result in them being served with papers at there residence or place of employment.  If anyone from this flea bag company is reading this you may want to STOP now or face the consequences and you know what they are.

This guys are scammers and [***],  They called me twice stating all of the same things they told everyone.  I gave them nt lawyer (who is also my brother) info, I haven't received a call since.  BTW, my lawyer called and requested to speak to the legal department and supervisor, told them that they were in violation of the Federal Trade Laws and if they contacted me again with such outrageous claims, he would report them and file a law sue ASAP!

    Very Annoyed
I received 2 automated voice calls from 877-360-6635.  The call did not give the name of the
person they were trying to reach.  The message stated the call was from National Check
Recovery Services and that I should call 877-360-6635 to learn more about this important
    matter.

I didn't call and am grateful for the postings about this scam.

My mother just received a phone call from 877-340-4272 saying that this guy has these papersfor my brother. My mom asked him what they are for and he said that he could not open them up but he will need to come to my mom's house to meet with my brother this Tuesday. When I called the number back, it was a place called National Check Recovery Services. I don't know how they got my mothers number about my brother because he doesn't even live there!! I thin kthis is the same people all of you are talking about.

I jusr received a call restricted too - saying they needed to serve me papers bla bla bla. I asked for the party that was suing me supposively and he said the envelope was sealed and he didn't know. Gave me some fake case # - too short for a real court case... and BTW - if you cannot be served the court will send a certified letter not call you!!! I have been a victim of idenity theft before so I don't take crap like this lightly. I will use the advise of one other person here and call an attorney today and have them call them back - I need some money so please give me a reason to sue the crap out of you!! please!!

Please do not call anyone and always check your numbers before you dial them with google for scams! You will find it online if you look :)

Thanks for sharing and helping me stop shaking in anger!!

Im glad i came upon this site.  I received a call from a blocked number so I didn't answer it.  They left a voicemail stating they had an affidavit and court summons for me to appear in court.  They gave me a call back number of 1-877-350-5096.  My wife called them back and they hung up on her so I called them back the following day after receiving another call from them.  Both times the voicemail also stated they will be coming to my house and then my place of employment between the hours of 9 am and 1 pm February 23rd for papers I must sign.  I called them back and got into a bit of a tiff with them because I'm short tempered.  They then informed me that I owed $957 but could settle today for $500.  They refused to send me any information as proof that I owed the money to the company DIS (after looking them up it's PayDay1).  I've never taken a loan from them before.  They kept threatening me with court if I don't pay and finally told me I need to speak with their director (to call an entirely different number 1-877-357-8728). The Initial caller was Todd Jones and the supposed director was Peter Edwards.  Well here it is February 23rd 11:30 am and I can see my house from my office.  Let's see if they show up.

I've been getting calls at work saying I have to sign for some sealed papers on my voicemail. I actually picked up this morning and the man, who was actually very nice, said he would be out between 10 and 2 Monday for me to sign and if I were unavailable, which is very very likely due to my job, it would be considered a refusal to sign.  He also didn't say where he would be showing up (work or home?)

Does anyone know what a refusal to sign means in Texas?

I have received a call from someone named Lou or Will Royder. He left a message on my machine saying that he is going to come to my home today and serve me papers. I didn't get the message the first time he left it, apparently, but I did receive a call on Friday, and again today. He told me that all he had was a phone number for the company that the complaint was filed from. Keep in mind, I did some research, no complaints have been filed on my in my county at all. I did call the number, however. They said that they were from PayDay1, and that I owed a huge amount. If I wished to pay it in full, they could offer a settlement of 500.00 that would be due by the end of business day, Friday. If not, they would serve me on Monday (today), and would end up paying double if not tipple the cost of my debt owed, which is approximately 850.00. I am unable to set anything up right now as I don't have the money to do so at all...so I am waiting for this guy to show up. Reading the posts from here, I'm seeing that never happens. I'll keep you updated. Has anyone else been served, like, actually served because of this?

They faxed my employer an employment verification paper which our fax is not a secure one so multiple co-workers saw. The fax # on the paper was 716-828-8906.  By the way when I spoke with them a week ago, the guy was getting rude with me and I mentioned to him that my call was being recorded as was his I'm sure.  He hung up on me!  They are idiots.  If you fax a letter make sure you print out your confirmation that it went through.  I was told it is best to send a letter certified mail as well.  Good luck!

They are also using 877-360-6625. A man named Phillip Kaufman has left two messages "notifying" me that I am going to be served a "Notice of Intent to Appear in Court" and if I need information on the matter to call this number and provides a case number. Well, I searched the case number in the Superior court website and it referenced a case belonging to someone else. I will continue to ignore the calls. You don't get the heads up when someone is attempting to serve you. They usually operate within the element of surprise.

I have been receiving the same messages but from a jack morgan saying that he will be here today to serve me a summons for court. And they told me that they are from buffalo new york. He left a voicemail on my husband's cellphone saying i'll be at your residence at today at 2pm. I filed a complaint with the fbi. I'm hoping maybe someone can stop this kind of thing from happening. I know that these kinds of scams have been going on forever but I'd like someone to do something about it! any suggestions???
