don't even have direct TV

I've gotten several calls from this number on my cell phone, but only hear music playing for an extended time.  I don't have DirectTV and never have, but I think they got my cell number a year or so ago by mistake, because they kept calling to set up an installation appointment for someone in a nearby town.

Evidently, that someone now owes money, and they still have my cell number.

How annoying to receive calls from this number over and over and over and over and over again.  When I answer it, they don't even say anything.  Each time this number has called, I've answered with no response to my "Hello?".  I called the number back and it just kept playing the stupid music for 5 minutes and no one ever answered the other line.  How stupid is that!  Pissed me off!

Agreed. Collectech Systems is a third party collection agency and is bound by the FDCPA, which states they are not allowed to call before 8AM and after 9PM local time.

The best way to get them to stop calling (since they don't answer when you pick up), is to send them a letter VIA certified mail with return receipt requested and demand they cease calling or you will seek whatever legal remedies are at your disposal to get them to stop. Also let them know in your letter they are violating FDCPA laws by calling you after 9PM.

They will not stop calling and are calling at all hours of the night. This harrasment has got to stop!

I have directv. It got disconnected. The same day that it got disconnected, I called DIRECTV to make pmt arrangements, got the arrangement approved by management AT DIRECTV, then this number starts calling. Why are they calling if I already have arrangements!!! Leave me alone!! And they call at least 2-3 times a day!!! Ugh!!!!!

This number calls all the time we have direct tv but it comes out on auto pay and there last call was tonight at 10:30pm. I have an auto blocker app like they have an auto dialer. That logs everytime they call. NEVER EVER PAY A 3rd PARTY ALWAYS PAY THE DEBTOR DIRECTLY AND GET IT IN WRITING THE DEBT HAS BEEN PAID NO MATTER WHAT....

Oh my god i hate this number i got a new phone and the second day they started calling Me now i get calls every single freking day i dint give them my new number i have no idea how they got it this same happens to my mom we just hear some music playing and Im so tired of this ahhhh wtf is their problem they call every morning they  call about everyday like a 9 something in the morning i hate when they do this to me just i want them to stop calling ;(

yes its happening to me to , so i just called them they told me they will remove this number from the list dring 28 hours, so lets wait nd see, but it sucks i dont understand whats going on,,,

they call twice every morning, at 8:03 and 8:05 am. No one ever answers and when I try to call the number back, I usually get a message saying they are a collection agency and are trying to collect a debt, then the phone hangs up.

Until now, I have had no way of communicating with them at all, other than the phone ringing on my end. After several attempts to contact them I was able to speak to one gentleman who seemed to be in a very bad mood, who hung up on me when I asked them not to call me any more, and they have continued to call me every week day right at 8:03 and 8:05. (I have to assume there is a computer which is controlling this..).

It is illegal in the USA for any debt collector to call before 8am or after 9pm in the time zone they are calling, so don't let them feed you that line of "well, it's only 8pm in my time zone". Had one try to use that on my mom in the past. She was paying them what she could afford each month, but they wanted more, luckily she knew her rights and told them off...Then she reported them to the BBB.

i received call telling me this is attempted to collect a debt,  my number is pay as you go and it is only 1 week old. I called Direct Tv and told them I paid my bill and I have a credit on my account. I was informed that they will document that I received a call and there will be no other calls. I was informed that no one should have called me to begin with.

I had no ideal Direct T.V was harassing me until I decided to report this number and read comments. I receive calls from this number 5times in 1 hr.When I finally pick up the phone they never said anything just silence on the phone.I called back to find out what company was this and who where they looking for? They told me they were not allowed to give that information out. Crazy

I negotiated a price with Direct TVs retention office otherwise I told them to cancel. They never gave me that price we agreed upon. They continued to charge me the extravagant price I was doing to cancel on them in the first place. Direct TV breached contract. They told me there was no contract. When two people verbally agree to a service for a certain amount for those services rendered it becomes a verbal contract. When one party does not perform their service at agreed upon price they have breached a verbal contract. I then paid them more to get the service turned back on and once again they sent me a bill which I do not agree upon which was even lower than the first time and they continue to breach my contract with them. Highly unethical business as well as illegal. I stopped paying them. I will not pay them. I will dispute any charges or any services or lack thereof, or any credit reporting they may issue since they have breached contract not once but on several occasions. I recommend seeking alternative television methods other than Satellite T.V. Dish is just as greedy.

I wanted to make a clarification on my abovementioned. The price I renegotiated with Direct T.V. was less and lower the second time after I had paid them a higher price to restart the t.V. service they turned off. They did not give me a lower price at any given time. They continued to overcharge me. They clearly breached verbal contract. It becomes illegal when they shut your service off because of their nonagreed price. Breached of contract. They also promised a period of service. Breach again. I never agreed to pay them on a scheduled time just a certain amount. They shut the satellite service down before the verbal agreement of time agreed upon was completed. Their was no promise to pay on a schedule just a promise to pay for the service of which they discontinued before there promise of service was fulfilled. Direct T.V. breaches again.They did not honor their price agreed upon nor did they honor the time of service for the services promised.
