it is not the first time
what can be done about this?

I got a call from this number and when I answered, no one was there.  I guess they have these auto-dialers and when someone answers a phone at one number, all the other numbers that were being dialed, just click off. This was the 5th call I received today.

Calls all hours of the day, several times a day! Never leaves a message. Even called two times on Christmas Day!

Yep, have gotten calls from this number everyday now for about 1 week.  Everytime I answer, I get hung up on.  So, I called the # and it sounded like the girl answering the phone said "Allied Health."  She knew my middle and maiden name by my phone #.  I told her she had the wrong # and to please take me off of the list.  She was very curtious and apologized for the inconvenience.  Weird, must be some type of marketing scam.

Call has been received for over 7 days.  When answered, I am hung up on.

Calls up to four times a day, I usually don't answer, as an 800-number is usually a solicitor.  They never leave a message, when I get so sick of the calls I finally answer, there is dead air.

I am assuming they are using an automatic dialer to check to see if these phone numbers will get a response, so later they can call and solicit.

Calls every morning wake everyone up, reported it to the telephone company they said try to call them back and find any info out. When I did they said they were “Allied” no last name giving then they tried to get my info by asking if my name was example John Smith I said no because they
only had the first name right then they tried to get me to say my last four digits of ssn LoL they think we are so stupid. If this is really a real company then need to play by the rules.

This is the collection company Target uses if you fail to pay your credit card bill. Like others have said, when you answer the line just disconnects. What's the point in calling if they are just going to disconnect when you answer?

I get that they are calling you for a reason, but they often call as late as 10:00PM at night which is against the law. Collection Agencies and Telemarketers in general can only legally call you between 8:00AM and 9:00PM.

calls @ 8Am daily for the past couple of mornings.  Calls again at around 6:30 PM, too.  Never anyone on the line when we answer the phone.  So we hang up.  We called back...no identifying message about who/what company is at this number...remained on hold for approx. 1 hour then the 877-375-6990 number disconnected us.

We get this number calling us at 8AM, Noon, and 8PM.  Nobody is ever there.

I get calls almost daily from them. No one is ever there. I finally called back and got through to someone. They said Allied Interstate I think. I asked who is this what is this and why do they keep calling me. She responded, oh you are getting calls. Duh lady thats what i just said. Then she said she was looking for blanco gomez. i have a very white english name. not even close. i told them to stop calling and hung up.

Same thing as the others. When you answer they switch to a ringing phone and they asked for a first name that hs never lived here and when I told them that they hung up. This was about the 3rd day in a row they called so maybe they will stop now.

Same as the others.  This is the third round with this company.  They take my number off, and it quiets down for a few weeks.  Then....you guessed it.....starts up again.
But....I got an idea.  When they call, I bring up the number, call it back, and don't say anything when they answer.  I do this 10 to 20 times for each time they call me.
If everyone would do that (I saw there were 250,000 complaints against this company), it would tie up their lines.
And the best thing is....it's a toll free number, so they pay for it.

This is NOT a debt collection company, that is only what they claim to be. This is in fact a SCAM.

After about 2 weeks of receiving calls from this number, they finally answered (instead of the dead silence to dial tone). They told me that Macy's had refered a debt balance of $275 dollars to them. I told them I have never had a credit card, much less a Macy's card. Well, the woman read off my name and basic info, and I told her again, I have never had a Macy's card. She then read off a bogus social security number that was WAAAY off. When I told her that it was not my SSN, she asked if I would verify mine for her and we could clear the whole mess up. I proceeded to let her know there was no way in hell I was reading off my SSN to some idiot over the phone and promptly hung up.

I would recommend no one EVER give out their SSN over the phone - especially to these scammers.

Numeous calls.  No one there or dead air.

this is a collection agency... they were calling for my sister-in-law!!!!!!  they literally called once a day every day for a month...

i didn't know that if your in-laws were deadbeats that you would be harrassed too!!!

i called them back and they answered and i asked to be off the list.

I just got a call from a guy named Eric, and he asked me to verify the last 4 digits of my ssn. When I told him I would not do it, he got really mad and continued to ask me to verify some numbers he had, which were way off. Finally I just said 'yes' to get him to spill the beans about the call and he said I owed 479.64 to a Chevron Credit card. I told him that I didnt have that account and that, in fact, those were not my last digits, he got really upset and he said 'why would you tell me those were your numbers?' and I said  'why would I believe some schmuck over the phone'!
Anyway, if you get harrased just ask to cease and desist communication.

usually calls me after 8 pm, or like 5 minutes after 8 am ... dont answer, never leave voice mails..
