- Irritated Husband| 1 replyFound this number on some scam website that appeared on my wife's computer. She got to it using Google Chrome, went to Google, typed facebook, and clicked the very top, ad version of the link. I think that was the problem here... only that ad link resulted in the malicious redirect. So, moral of this story is to get Adblock Plus for your browser, and always click the actual link for Facebook in Google's results. And maybe just bookmark Facebook if you frequent it... Oh, and don't forget to clear your cache & scan for viruses if you visited that site. Definitely don't click anything, and definitely don't call these [***] -- though, I think I may find a payphone and lead them on a wild goose chase.

- RickI received the same message while trying to load IE to Face Book, the only other thing that I did was install a program right before that called iskysoft pdf editor, other than that nothing. I knew it was a scam, so I called the number. I let the tech go on for quite awhile well as least until he wanted remote control. I told me hold the line for a sec while I get my admin ( I am the admin ) after making him wait on hold for about 5 minutes I checked back on him and he was gone. I think I am going to setup a few lab computers for them to play on, we will sit back and drink a beer or 2 while they work there magic Lol... We need about 10k of admins to all do the same thing.

- EsahcSo a few days ago I opened my Chrome on my laptop and typed Facebook and as soon as I clicked it that stupid Microsoft scam appeared! I know better NOT TO EVEN TOUCH IT or be dumb enough to call a 800 number! But I couldn't exit out of it so I had to power off my laptop and it went away. Well today I opened Chrome again to go on Facebook and that little sucker popper its ugly self up on my laptop again! Before I powered it off this time I took my iPad and took a photo of the screen. So now I have to do these steps with task manager to get rid of it. I even have Norton. What a bunch of low life's.
- Caller: They did not call, was on my computer screen.
- jay replies to Heinz57| 2 repliesif i didnt do anything, is my computer alright?
- Heinz57 replies to jay| 1 replyIf you DID NOT allow anyone to remotely connect, then it sounds like your PC is unaltered and you should be fine. I would still clear your cache, reboot and do a virus scan with your (up-to date) A/V program.
- KellyWhen I open Facebook, I also get a box that pops up saying to call this number immediately because all my personal info is out there etc. call to fix the problem! I called but could understand the guy, terrible English! SO, how do I fix my computer so this box won't keep popping up? I have an Apple Mac. Is my computer ruined?? Will it go away?? Is my stuff not secured?
- Gypsy RosaI went to google chrome to log into Facebook when I got a pop up window that said my computer has been blocked. This is the second time this has happened in less than a week. The first time I got the message it said they detected something suspicious. The only thing suspicious is that pop up window. I unplugged my computer and started over. I didn't call the number because I believe it is a scam.
