I got the same message.  I did not call but screen shot this pop up and researched this page.  These are criminals.  Stop them.

No one here can "stop them." This is a website to help identify unknown phone numbers. If you want to stop them,  invest in a call blocker or at the very least don't answer calls from unknown phone numbers if at all possible.

Got the message when I typed Facebook into chrome. I called and the guy asked me to start running a program called I explore....that's when I stopped and hung up.

I feel I may have been conned into purchasing online Windows Defender for $199.99.  I called HP today about my printer not working.  The next thing Im talking to a technician about a possible virus so we did a remote hook up.  That made me nervous but I thought it was HP.   Ended up scaring me into buying the Defender.  But the company is called SysVantage, not HP.  I tried to cancel today, but the sly company told me a refund fee is $149.  omg.   Now my mouse/mousepad stops working half the time for 20 minutes at a time.  Also my Quicken program won't open.   Did I get scammed or hacked?
