Got this letter today assuming it was from my manufacturer until read a line in the letter stating that it wasn't from the manufacturer. They wanted 200 up front then 147 a month for 18 months then it was free for 5 and a half years. The guy demanded money right now and gave me attitude when I asked if I had time to decide. His response was, "I mean, you called the activation department and usually when people do that they are ready to pay, if you wait the price will go up". Nice try but my vehicle is still under warranty from Dodge so I called to just see if the previous owner had an additional coverage.

Thank-you received the same and it even has the same Vehicle Code number as the report right above you so, they aren't even trying very hard,  But how are they deciding to send these to certain people?

Hey guys! I just received a mail from them as well just this week. Telling me about vehicle protection plan, i just recently got a second hand car from a dealership so i was thiking that it was legit. I called the number 1 877 397 1024, they told me they need my card number just to activate my account but i told them that i need to confirm it to my dad first since i dont really know anything about this kind of thing. But he still insisted, he sounded so convincing and professional so i ended up giving my card number. And now i saw thus thread, and decided to trnasfer most of my money to my other account. What do i do now?

Well, I'm thinking your first call should have been to your bank.  You should have received a card agreement with that card, you know, the one you never read.  In that agreement was a detailed explanation of what to do when you need to dispute the charge.  Maybe it is time to read that agreement?

I received a letter in the mail, it says it's from "true auto protection," saying my car is out of warranty and that I need to call them to provide my car's VIN number. First off, if they knew my car was out of warranty, they'd probably have any kind of info on my car at all. Secondly, my car is less than a year old, the manufacturer's warranty is still active for more than 2 years... This is clearly a scam, don't waste your time.

Yes I also got a letter and was really curious but kept in mind I never had a vehicle in my life so I called them concerning this letter I got in the mail so I called told them that I never owned a vehicle legal anyways in all my life so they said to disregard the letter on not having a car don’t worry about it. I even took it to my son to get his idea of whether it was all fraudulent or not.  Definately scam..
