Got a robo message from "Superlative RM" saying they are a debt collecotr and to call them at 888-441-4544 and refer to a case number. The message did not say who they were calling for so I will assume it's a wrong number.

They have called me repeatedly and I let it go to the answering machine. It is a robocall and they always say the same thing. They say they are Superlative RM and they are a debt collector. They ask me to call them back and give a phone number and a reference number. I don't owe anyone. I don't answer calls I don't recognize. And I certainly don't return calls to people I don't know.

If they have called repeatedly and left a message and have not sent you the dunning letter, then they have violated the law:

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

This number called. I am expecting a call from a law firm to speak with one of their attorneys about my case against the VA Disability Department. When I answered no one answered my Hello. I listened to silence for a few seconds just in case they were unable to reply. Hung up. Came to my favorite find out who this long distance number calling me belongs to. Got what I was looking for "AS ALWAYS" Thank you again

You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt, and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Everything else you need to know follows including at least two or more federal and state agencies where you should report their criminal activities.

I got a robocall on April 21, 2021 at 2:11 pm.  I didn't pick up the phone.  They said they were debt collectors for "Superlative RM" and that I should call an 888 number.  I also reported this number at the National Do Not Call Registry.

Then you reported it to the wrong place.  Something that you perfectly well know since debt collectors were clearly defined over there as not having to scrub their call lists by buying and using the registry.

No, that is the company name, they are not collecting for them they are Superlative RM.

I recieved 2 calls from this number today 06/28/2021. The first one i never answered. The 2nd one i answered and they ask for me and I said who is this and they stated it RM something and they are calling on behalf of my financial institution. I said I have no clue whom you are. They continued and said a address which is kinda right but wrong apt letter. And they then wanted to verify my birthdate and I said goodbye and hung up the phone.  I will not give any personal information out over the phone to anyone. Way to many scammers

I received a call a couple days ago from them and I did owe on the bill in question. I actually called the company I owe directly and made a payment plan with them.  They told me they would send a letter to this Superlative company to release this and close my account with them.  They have emailed me twice, called me everyday and keep telling me that I owe them the money because the place I owed to sold this account to them.  They are rude and keep you on the phone asking for more information.  I got angry and hung up.  Tired of these a**holes that say they are in CUSTOMER SERVICE but really do not work with the customer at all.  If I keep getting calls and or emails, I will report them to the BBB.
