I got a call from them. They said they wanted to verify my business information, and something about making sure my website or business is the "featured" business for my type of business in Sacramento.

Told the guy to stop right there. I didn't want to spend any time if this was a sales pitch. He said it was not. I told him I didn't believe his company would be calling me unless they somehow hoped to get some money out of me. He said I can believe that if I want. I told him how much I hate telemarketers, and what a sleezy business they run. They are deceptive and waste people's time. We both hung up.

Always answer these types of calls - they have to pay for completed call.  Keep them talking as long as possible with fake info so they have to pay more.

Got call from them, wanting to confirm the address we are currently at.  The business name is not intoduced.  They say ABSOLUTE NO CHARGE, WHAT SO EVER.  You aak them a simple question, they play back like a recording, or sounds like they are talking from a written speech.  Hang up on them.........they call back again, sometimes 10 times in a day.  Then the next day same issue.

Keeps calling place of business, never leaves message & when they do talk do NOT listen that this is a production office. Have asked to be removed & have hung up on them & they still keep calling.

I've had 17 calls from this number in the past 2 months, 3 on Saturday. If I answer they either don't respond or start into their spiel about updating my business information. I tell them I'm not interested and hang up. They are extremely persistent.

Called my home number just now. No one on other end. We are on state & federal DNC.

BUT, I have found that I can often find out who it is by calling the number back.  After a LONG wait, I got someone who identified the company as "Zip Web".  But, then, as others report, the @#$#@@#$ woman started talking and would NOT listen.

Last 3 days we have received a minimum of 15 calls EACH DAY from this company and each time we answered we were hung up on.  Per the owner of my company, I called them and asked for our number to be removed.  Less than 5 minutes after my request, we started receiving calls more frequently.  We have notified them a 2nd time stating our company lawyer would be filing a complaint with the FCC for harrassment.  We were told it takes 72 hours for a number to be removed from their database.  We are keeping a log and will pursue legal action if any call is received after the 72 hours.

Very rude man - did not identify hisself or his company.  Keep demanding info on the company.  I told him what we tell everyone else - We do not verify info on the phone - send the request in writing.  The rude man continue & even told me we already have his service.
Called the # & got "customer service" - company still not identified until I asked.  Asked to be taken off their call list - we have caller ID.  Man on other end said he would.  Will let you  know if the calls continue.

We must have gotten 15 calls from this number in the last two days....they won't let up!  I tell them no, I hang up, nothing works!

got this off ripoffreport.com supposed to be from zipweb: "We invite you to contact our VP of Customer Relations at 1-800-222-5529".  call this # and let them have it!

Received call to our business.  A woman identified herself (didn't catch her name)and said she was from Surge Marketing and asked to speak to the owner or manager.  Since he was out, she said she'd call back.

I answer all the calls in the office where I work and have been repeatedly getting calls from this number with no one on the other end when I pick up. (We do not have caller ID, I find out who's calling by pressing *69)  I called back to them (it's a free call for me I think).  I asked to be removed from their calling list and was told it would take 72 hours.  Meanwhile, the calls still keep coming.  I called back to the number - asked for a supervisor - got a lame excuse why that couldn't happen then got put on hold and then a recording picked up. This company is obviously shady and not reputable.  This company - whomever they are - needs to be shut down.

They were very nosey, asking business information we never give out to strangers and unsolicited callers, and they were very, very, very rude.

Received a call Sat- the second call in recent weeks- seeking to verify our company info for listings supposedly in Yahoo and Google, etc. I asked repeatedly, is there was a cost or charge of any kind associated with this service, and was told repeatedly there was not.  

When the woman (heavy Hispanic accent-- very difficult to understand, and I had to ask her to repeat herself several times) asked if I was authorized to make obligations on behalf of the company, I again asked if there was any charge of any kind-- she said no, then paused briefly and in a hushed voice, added "for the first month."  I asked her to repeat, and she again said no, then paused and added quietly, "for the first month."  I then asked if there was any cost or service charge for the second month and beyond, and she responded that, yes, there was.  I then told her clearly and with emphasis that I was not interested in any service from her company, and I directed her to remove my name and phone number and all data relating to our agency from her data bank, adding again that I was not interested in any service of any kind from her enterprise.

This kind of marketing is deceptive to say the least, and needs to be shut down as a form of harassment.

Re my comments above- I just filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission-- simply enter Federal Trade Commission in your browser and you will see an FTC Complaints link listed.  The form is fairly simple (not sure how much good it will do to file.)  Anyone who has been billed for unwanted services should most certainly file a complaint with the FTC, among others.

I got call 3 times today.  9am 1pm and 5pm.  This number calls about 10 times a week. Each time I picked up but no one talked on the end.  It hung up each time after I pick up the call

I am having the same problem....I just called and told them to stop calling our numbers, we are running a business and don't have time for childish games.....according to the customer service rep, it is taken care of...let's see

They call and no-one is on the other end then "music" is heard, and finally they say hello and then hang up!!!

RECEIVED SAME TYPE OF NON AMERICAN SPEAKING CONVERSATION WITH SEVERAL CALLS PER WEEK AND CONSTANT ASKING TO REPEAT.  EXTREMELY RUDE WHEN ASK NOT TO CALL BUSINESS AGAIN.  WE TOO ARE ON THE NATIONAL DO NOT CALL LIST.  DO NOT KNOW IF IT REALLY WORKS.  SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT, AS A BUSINESS ARE YOU ALSO RECEIVING TRACKING COOKIES ON YOUR EMAILS TO THE COMPANY WEB SITE.  WE SEEM TO HAVE AN INCREASE IN PHONE CALLS WHEN WE HAVE THIS HAPPING.  WOULD GREATELY APPREICIATE THIS UNWANTED, UNSOLICITED PHONE CALLING TO STOP.
