They say they are trying to collect a debt for a online payday loan that was defaulted on. I told them I have never had a payday loan and wanted a validation of debt sent to me. They hung up but continue to call almost daily from different numbers

I got the same exact call as the above caller did. Its a scam.

Calls both landline and cell numbers daily. Wants tracing information for another person. I am on the "do not call registry" but they seem to bypass this.

Received the exact same message today.  Didn't call the number as I'm sure it's a scam.

I just received this exact call on my cell phone, regarding defaulted payday loan (which I never had).  SCAM...DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFO.

I called them back to talk to them also, she had my number as 2 different people. She was rude and I was very calm in telling her that I didn't take out a loan, my ex husband might have been I didn't give him authority to. She said I was still liable for it. She repeatedly talked over me and started raising her voice and getting so mad. I still remained calm. She smarted off saying that she was going to put that I refuse to pay and it will continue to collect interest. I said ok that is good for me and she got mad again and then hung up on me while I was talking.

Would a legitimate collector hang up on you??  You did the smart thing - ask questions & not be intimidated.  Give your  state attorney general a call too.

Did not speak with person.  Said I have a payday loan and would report me to authorities.  Never answer calls I do not know.

Keeps calling and when I call back they hang up on me

I keep getting the same calls. They have even told me that they will take me off of their list but never do.
