- AyeshaThis guy named Bruce so he says kept calling my place of business telling my employees that the ComEd bill was past due and needed to be paid today. Instructed them to take all of the money out to the register and their own purses to go get gift cards from Walgreens, scratch the code off the back and give the numbers to him. He continued to call more than 15 times in 1 day and several more times 3 days leading up to. He was very rude and persistent demanding that the power and gas would be shut off if the employee didn’t give this gift card code. My employees explained the boss was out of town and that they had no authority to give him this info or make this payment. They also informed him they were certain the payments were already made by the owner. The caller demanded they give the codes on the back. He continued to call. He is harassing and rude. We’ve asked repeatedly not to call back yet he would hang up and call right back.

- ElinA fraud ring spoofing the real ComEd telephone number attempting to extort $$$ for an "unpaid bill". The caller was a male, heavy accent (Middle East, India?). He first asked for "Christina". Then went on to ask if the business owner was there. Threatened to turn off electricity if the $800.00 "unpaid bill" was paid within 30 minutes.

- DeeThey called my cell phone and were identified as potential spam. I looked up this number to see comments about it before I blocked it. Just a note, ComEd cannot legally disconnect electric during the winter.
- JCCall came up on caller id as ComED. I did answer and recorded message said press 1 to speak to a representative to get 15% off my electric bill. Seems they are using a difference strategy. If they told me they were sending a tech to disconnect my power, I would tell them to go ahead and send a tech, there would be a police officer waiting for them.
