Its time these people stop calling  No one talks.  So stop bothering me.  I do not like it.

they call every day 3   4   and 5 trimes, I have even reenterd our number to the no call list a mounth ago.hope you can stop them from calling people.

The reason there is no one on the line when you first answer it is the computer which auto dials these phone numbers has to recognize that the number has answered then notify one of the dozens if not hundreds of stooges at these call centers that a live one is on the line.  Just wait, they will answer you. It can take up to 30 seconds or longer.  If you pick up the phone and it is dead air you can bet it is a computer call and that it is from a debt collector most of the time.

you should know banks and debt collectors are not remotely scared of the BBB.  They have no power to do anything but list if the company replied or not to your complaint....

Ask yourself WHY these "debt collectors" call instead of sending you a certified letter. Answer: Because they know they have an extremely weak case or no case at all, and they figure if they can get a live person on the phone they can bully him or her into giving them some money. I've had these "Portfolio Recovery" people call me for something involving my sister, whom I haven't seen for 20 years, for my spouse's ex (that's been an ex for almost 30 years) and for people I don't even know who just happened to live on the same street ("go knock on their door and tell them to come to your phone"--for real!). Just block the number if you can, or disconnect the call. They've got nothing, and if they did they'd do something other than just harass you on the phone.

Please have them stop harassing me. They call constantly and if I pick up the phone they will not like it.

Get me off this roto dial plz. I have 30 calls today alone snd its nately noon.
