Received call and a woman said she is from the Utility company with a rates lock-in deal that is available to me.  I asked for her call back number, which she gave as 877-503-6374.  I told her I would have to call the number on the company website and she got annoyed and hung up.

Caller ID said it was Subaru recall, but the woman identified herself with SFE Energy and needed my 10-digit gas number to enroll. She mentioned State voted on it, approved by PUC, etc. I said I didn't have the info and would call her back. Thanks everyone for the info on this site! My spam radar was definitely up.

Called about a monthly gas plan of $29.95 per month from PG&E. Did not have access to my regular gas bill. Ext. 4617 Cindy Dickson

Call claiming to be from Eversource about my utility bill. SCAM!

They are RELENTLESS.  They call constantly at all hours of the day and night.  They do not leave a message.  Called them back at the number they called me.  They answered the phone "SEC" and asked to speak to the person in charge of electricity payments.  I think they are some sort of utility scam.  They are absolutely unrelenting.  They will call at all hours and every day.  It has be illegal.

Got a voicemail saying: "This is the (SCC or SEC) calling about your electricity, please call 877-503-6374".  Seems like a fake call to me.  I am current on my bills.  My cell phone gave the details about the call.  It gave the date and time, plus said it came from seems to be a local phone number = (559) 201-8822.  But these days people can use any area code to call.

877-503-6374; in the caller id, it shows a different number- they said they are from a copy called SEC calling about the utility bill rising energy cost that could be affecting the bill. Is this an honest company? Someone else got their called? They are asking for the energy bill number.

I don't understand since your statement seems to conflict. You are saying that you received a call from 877-503-6374 yet you are also saying that your caller ID showed a different number?  Then why are you posting here if you received a call from a different number?
