Inkas called and wanted to speak to manager. Told her manager was busy and asked what this called entailed. After a moment of hearing her out, I told her "this call is done" as her call did not ring as valid. She further tried to ask if we use debit machines. To that I hung up without dignifying her with an answer. It seems no phone calls can be accepted at face value and caution and wisdom to screen these predators must be taken. "Do not call" list seems to have failed me on this one, so must continue doing it myself.- Caller: Inkas

- Liam-IXOkay, I got a call at the bar from this group one afternoon while I was setting up for the evening. Now MY boss wasn't in, but when you're the bartender at a bar, [***] tends to be YOUR show, you know? So I accepted the call. Spoke to a Miranda, who was quite polite. Explained from the get-go that Inkas wasn't a processor, they're just a rates brokerage. They could set us (the bar) up with a processor to get debit/credit machines if we didn't have any, but it wouldn't be THEM giving it to us. So I said "we already have machines." She went on to explain that they could do an analysis of our current merchant transaction fees, see if they could get them amended in any way. I said "not interested." Now, she did try throwing a question my way to get around that, but anyone who's ever worked a phone sales job, not even telemarketing, knows that they got to push. But when I gave a second, firm "not interested," Miranda just thanked me for my time and wished me a good night at the bar.
I don't know if what they're talking ABOUT is for real, the amendments and such, but they weren't rude to me. Maybe there's just one or two of the callers from there with their heads stuck up their [***]?- Caller: Inkas Payments

- Liam-IXI mean, I read all the other comments, and here's what made my call from them different, I think:
- Told me right away they weren't a processor.
- None of this "we already represent you" misrepresentation stuff.
- Weren't rude, got to the point right away, overall polite.
- AND they explained why they wanted me to fax over the PROCESSING STATEMENT (not your bank account information, whoever said that); their analysts need to know everything to do with your rates to do their formula to see if they can get them amended. They're a rates brokerage, they can get brokerage rates from the processors. Yes, plural, I asked about that.
Now, I still said no to them, said we were happy and weren't going to change. Haven't gotten another call yet, but this was only a couple days ago.- Caller: Inkas
- john replies to Sharon| 2 repliesI have to chime in as well, Inkas called my business multiple times and stated that they represented and worked with my current merchant services provider. The operator stated that they were a rates brokerage that fought on my behalf for free to lower the rates of my current payment processor. She then went on to say that my current processor would pay Inkas to lower my rates - from there I had some red flags go up in my mind - my current processor will pay Inkas to get lower $ from me.... somehow that business model doesn't make sense. I declined and the operator (extremely polite up to this point) very rudely stated "you're wasting my f***ing time" and promptly hung up on me.
The last action just proved my decision to decline their "services" was correct. Even if they were legitimate and could lower my rates they were going the wrong way about it, and the behaviour of their sales personnel just sealed the deal for me. Beware. - conserned replies to Jerry Klimenceobvously you work for inkas.....we have them at work and i would not recommed them to anyone.....you can never get any support and there machines are pure JUNK...
- CherylI received a call from this number this morning. Couldn't pick out the name of the company because the lady (and I use the word lady very lightly as she certainly was not what I would consider a "lady" to be). She asked for the name of the owner and I informed her that he was busy at the moment and she proceeded to ask if there was someone else who could help her and explained what she was calling about. I told her that we were fine with our rates and have received reductions. She asked if I could get my statement and go over it over the phone. I told her that I don't care to do that right now and reminded her that we are fine with our rates. She abruptly said "Ok, you don't know if you received your rate reduction! You're just making it up!" Then hung up the phone. I do hope that she calls back because I'll have a few words for her. Our company telephone number is also on the Do Not Call list but it really doesn't seem to matter.
