Anthem BC/BS (health insurance ) wanting me to speak to one of their nurses for some reason

Anthem BC/BS (Health Insurance ) wanting me to speak to one of their nurses about a claim that was submitted recently.  More like trying to wiggle out of paying for it is more like it! They call on just about every claim now that is submitted by one of my healthcare providers.  Even offering up cheaper places to go that are in seedy horrible parts of town that one one would ever dare travel too.  Hoping I'll be killed and that will be the last claim submitted.  Yes, that devious of a healthcare Insurance provider.

Said she was from Anthem BC/BS (health insurance ) wanted to verify my personal info, ss# ect.... told her wasn't interested in giving my info over the phone to anyone

Anthem BC/BS calling to offer me up a cheaper place to get tests done.  When I googled them, they were not in the best section of town.  Like a previous poster said, hoping I'll be murdered and that will be the end of claims!

Called left a message saying they were from Anthem Blue-Cross, and needed to speak with me.  I called them back less than 5 minutes later and they were now unavailable.

they called and left voicemails x 2 to reach Noelle about important health information. I called back so they would know it's the wrong number and would continue to try to reach the correct person and they asked my first and last name which I gave until they tried to ask my birthdate also. I told them they don't need my information as I am not a bcbs member they just need to reach the person that they tried to leave message for at my number so they have my name and number. Glad I didn't give them anything else.

Anthem Blue Cross calling about a nurse wanting to speak to me. I returned the call twice: the first time they told me no one was available to talk to me; the second time they disconnected the line transferring me. If they want to talk to me, they can write a letter.

Tracey said she's calling about benefit programs.  When i asked her if she knew she was calling an office (since she called my work number), she said "oh no", so i hung up.  Clearly some sort of scam if you don't even know you're calling a company not a personal number.  Besides never heard of Anthem and i have my benefits through my company so....... SCAM ALERT

I received 2 calls from 2 different Anthem numbers in 5 minutes.  Yelled at both to remove me from their list and if they were truly Anthem they already have the info they need.  Did not give them any info including who I am insured with.  Other number was 866-536-7612.

Same thing!  Honestly ever since the healthcare reform these cheap chumps are getting cheaper my the second.  You can’t get anything done anymore without a fight.  The doctor wants the co-pay right then and their because all those exchange buyers insurance arn’t paying up. A select few have screwed the system.  So the ones that need it can’t get the care they need.

It is a legit number for Anthem health insurance. They call whatever number you have given them that is on record.They tend to call to speak to you about programs that are a part of your benefits you may not know about. Usually relating to some condition or event that took you to the ER or hospital.  It is annoying but legit.

Note that is common for these organizations to have several dial out numbers and at least one or two call in numbers.

I have had several calls from Anthem BC and they have even left messages; only problem being that I don't have BCBS insurance, Anthem or otherwise! Perhaps someone else gave them the wrong number, but as i know who they are I never answer, and they don't get the inference.

I have received a phone call saying they were calling from Health Center we have on site of the company I work at. They were trying to have me speak to me one of their RNs to see if I were interested in the Health Advocacy program, on recording,  but they told me that their computers down after putting me on hold twice and said they will call back later. During the phone call, I asked if they were calling all the employees or just selected ones. She said they were calling everyone but have not had time to reach everyone yet. If this is true, they are spending a lot of money to have a RN to speak to over 23,000 employees, which seems a little odd to me. I called back the number and the recording said it's Anthem. But the caller said she was calling from the company Health Center and I called the Health Center to varify but they had no idea

Answered call with "Hello", only silence on other end then they hung up.

This guy supposedly from Anthem BC called my work cell number which is not on record with my Anthem BC acct. That was the first flag. However they mentioned a family member name and wanted to talk with that person. They actually had the correct first name. Hmmm. Strange request.  Then they asked me how they could get in contact with that person. I did NOT give them the information.  I also immediately texted the family member to be on the lookout for this sort of SCAM.  Ever since the ACA has been compromised and partially dismantled, these SCAMs are on the rise.

I swiped to accept, didn't say anything, didn't hear anything on the other end, no boiler background, a few seconds later they hung up. Silent call, so now it's a blocked #.

This came up as Anthem on my caller ID, and I have Anthem BcBs through my employer. They knew all of the wellness programs that my employer offers and reminded me of them, basically sounded like they are trying to keep me out of the ER by suggesting preventive care. Had some very  general questions about my health. Also sounds like they're trying to gauge if you're going to be a big liability for them. They said participation was completely voluntary and not required. Pretty much, if you have a lot of health problems and you're in and out of the hospital every month or you take a ton of meds, you're going to have a bad time with this call and their questions.
