I recd a call tonight. Turned out it was legit.

My call from that 1877 number was legit and it wasn't for mbna card-i have another institution card. U might want to check with your cc company soon

This was a legit call for me. MasterCard calling to let me know about a late payment for a credit union card I hardly use and forgot about. Checked the balance separately online to confirm.

Not legit. I called my card company from the number on the card back. Everything was fine no issues.

Person called saying they were with the security Dept for MBNA Mastercard and I needed to call them right away. Person gave their first name and had no accent. Gave me a reference number. I don't have a MBNA card so I checked my account and then called my card issuer with the number on the back of the card. Fraud or stinking promotion tactic, don't care which. So I never called the number above.

this was a legit call from MC fraud services to verify charges on card. They did not ask for card information. Only asked to verify if charges had been made.

It was the MBNA fraud department. I had two abnormal charges on my card and they recognized them quickly.

They reversed the charges as well without any issue. No information was asked of me, aside from asking if I had tried to make expensive overseas purchases. Very professional

No, they really are anti fraud people, representing your MC issuer.

This number is legitimate, I phoned the number on the back of the credit card and there were suspicions of fraudulent charges.

It really is MBNA fraud department!
