Yeah, people mentioned the name 4 years ago, but it still does not guarantee it won't be a scammer spoofing the number, will it?
Perhaps try reading before posting, ya know, so you don't look foolish stating the obvious.

Never trust a caller to be who they claim, always call from an official number to verify if they did call.

Remember ANY CALLER CAN FAKE THIS NUMBER!!! It may be leigt, or it may not. Please call the number on your card if unsure. They called my wife and asked for info that CLEARLY was not appropriate for the situation, like the 3 digits on the back of her CC.

I just got a call from this number, strange thing is that I literally just changed my phone number 3 hours ago because I kept getting calls like this and no one except my mom, Dad, Sister & Girlfriend have my new number.
    • Caller: Not sure

That's hilarious.  You changed your number to stop these calls and got the number that belonged to someone else who was getting them and got rid of their number for the same reason you got rid of yours.  What makes you think that changing numbers will help?  One other thing.  Did the new number have the same area code and prefix as the old one?  No doubt it did, so the only thing that changed was the last 4 digits.  So, since their dialer is calling every 4 digit combination in that area code and prefix, guess what?  Your going to get that call along with everyone else in that area code and prefix.

Called didn't answer, they didn't leave a message, called MBNA back direct, no record or reason to be calling. I suspect this is a fishing scam. Never answer these calls, if they leave a message, call the company back directly.

Called and said they are MBNA and my card they sent me was returned - so they wanted me to give them correct address.  In the meantime I had MBNA card that was  active.  Looked like scam - I did not give them any info - they said it must be a glitch in their system.

For me, it was a legitimate call from MBNA regarding suspected fraudulent use of the credit card.

I recommend calling the number on the back of your card rather than any callback number that might have been offered in a message.

Do you often look up known phone numbers when there's no logical reason to do so?
