Claimed to be an attorney office but nothing comes up on web. Possibly another scam?

AND it is illegal to claim to be an attorney if they are not licensed.  Contact your state attorney general's office & the bar association in your state.

Got the same type of call.  I called them back from a blocked number and started asking them a bunch of questions and they hung up on me.  SCAM.

Call refused to give me any info about the "complaint against me" and wanted me to verify the social

Number just called me claiming my dad had a law suit pending such a joke my dad is 76 years old and retired with no credit cards or credit accounts they need to stop these clowns

They say I owe a credit debt and stated if I do not pay I will be subject to a judgement and court costs.when I google meyrs,wentworth and associates from orchard city ny I can not locate any site

They called saying a complaint was filed against me and they need to contact me or my attorney.

A quick call to the civil division of your local courthouse will confirm the SCAM.  IF there was a problem, you would NOT be warned.

REPORT - www.consumerfinance.gov & your state attorney general.  Since they claim to be an attorney (illegal) check your state bar association & report them there.

I was asked to give them a call because there was a pending lawsuit against me.

They called me saying i had a civil complaint using my maiden name no clue what it was

People have more things to be concerned about other than being scammed by fictitious Pretenders they don't even know they're asking for

They called me stating that they were retained per documentation sent to my address from Myers Wentworth Castle.  Also, that they wanted to contact me about an upcoming arbitration proceeding and they were contractually retained to file a small claims jurisdiction case in the next week.  Total nonsense.  Clowns.

Nonsense indeed .... so is it arb or small claims? They can't push their phantom case through two venues at once.

FTC alert: Fake Debt Collectors

"Stephen Castle" called saying he thought he had a wrong contact number but wanted to confirm that I didn't know "Cheranda Smith." Something about a complaint in their office. He called me by name and sounded very friendly and legit. Didn't call him back. Gave a different number than what showed on my caller ID: (317) 225-4709.

I have received several calls from this number stating they have my name and social security number. They claim to have a lawsuit pending against me and I need to call them to get my side of the story or they will have to move forward with the claim. They have been moving forward with this fake claim for months now!!!  DO NOT CALL these jokers back!!! This is a total scam. He claims his name is Robert Lock.
