No idea who or what this it said a collection number but did not state who or anything else it was automated.

Once you answer whoever is on the other end of the line hangs up. Today is 6/30/2008 at 7:15 PM and i just told them to take my number off their calling list for the second time today. Claiming debt collection on whomever had the number before me.

After recieving many calls in which they immediately hung up and Id call back and get a voice mail...I finally got thru to someone who said he was an attorney working for US Bank and was filing suit against me for a 2 year old debt + interest on the debt since then.  I went ahead and authorized payment in full cuz now I am paranoid about my credit report after making some mistakes a couple years ago.  When I checked my credit report after hanging up, both of my US Bank accounts were reported as having a 0 balance.  I immediately called and canceled the card I had authorized the payment from, luckily before they had a chance to run the card info I had given them.  US Bank is closed for the night now, but I am calling them back first thing tomorrow to make sure, their records reflect the same as my credit report.

Getting several calls a week from this number.  Either quits ringing after 3rd ring or no one on the line if you answer. If it's a collection company, it is probably for the electrial company that had the number before us, but that was almost 4 years ago. Would love to get a hold of someone that could get me off this list...
