- nancyThis is just crazy that people can make these types of calls, I am sure someone who doesn't have access to look up this number may
just go ahead and pay. I got the "you have 2 hours to pay or we will process papers to court", I said go right ahead!
Got this call on April 13, 2017- Caller: A.S.T.
- SarahJust got a missed call from 877-720-3617 and they left a message. The robo lady said I had several infractions against me that they were going to serve me a summons at home or my place of business. I have no idea what she was talking about.

- Call type: Debt collector
- LOUISIANAi just got this dumb message.SMH.......
- RayTwo calls today. Answered the second call and Abigail Fischer said call by 7PM or hellfire would rain on my life. I called and the first man I spoke to sounded like a thug. I have very been spoken to in such a threatening manner before. The second man was the same way...I asked him to E-mail me the information and became very threatening and hung up on me. The third person was very polite, said I owed over $9,000 on an old debt (that I settled long ago), but if I sent $2,800 they would consider it settled. The money would have to be wired to an account.
Sorry...scam.- Call type: Debt collector
- wait what??I too got this call today, Abigail Fisher leaves a nasty message talking about infractions, I hung up and reported it to donotcall.gov. I believe these calls happen around tax season. These people or company should be ashamed of themselves...I would rather make burgers, fold tacos or burn popcorn before I get that desperate for a job.
- Caller: no company name

- Bradley Rasmussen| 1 replyThey had info from a payday past due that we paid off back in 2013. they knew the date and our bank name. I was 5 minutes away from paying them $350. They said that they would settle from the previous payoff of $480 when I said that I only had $370 in my bank. These people make me sick, "Mr Stone" was this guys name.

- CWG40 replies to KortneySS numbers are not the subject of any kind of criminal prosecution. It's an absurd thing for the scammer to say in the first place. Simply ignore and block these calls. Debt collection scam. Pure and simple.
- CWG40 replies to LizSimply ignore and block the calls.
Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:
1. Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2. Demand a debt validation letter by US mail. E-mail no good.
3. Do not pay the collection agent or anyone else a dime until the debt is validated
Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.
If they are bothering you, report them:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) The same goes for endless telephone harassment
Also contact your local attorney general
If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion. Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved. Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.
You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because, being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking), the only thing they understand. - CWG40 replies to Bradley RasmussenNever pay anything to anyone on the basis of a phone call!
