Same call. Multiple infractions against my ss# however I have almost perfect credit. Never had a traffic ticket in my life. Never been arrested. Definitely called the wrong person to scam. I pay very close attention to my personal info so it can't be me. I just wish they'd stop calling cause it does a person until they can down and realize they can't have these infractions mentioned. They need to get a life. Hopefully nobody falls for this

This "David" Wolfe" is basically impersonating a public prosecutor.  Only public prosecutors file charges.  Impersonating a public officer is a crime in most jurisdictions.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

An "infraction" is basically a minor criminal offense.  Only public prosecutors handle infractions.   There's no such thing as an "infraction" against a SS#.  This is an attempt to scare money out of  you.

    Report them:

Got another call today. Same message. Already reported them to my states attorney general. They said A&P Associates are not licensed to do any type of debt collection in my state and do not give into their intimidation tactics, and do no, under any circumstances, pay them any money.

Have gotten this same message numerous times over the last few years, and now twice in the last 2 days.  I owe nothing, to anyone, and would like to know how to get this stopped.

Vague information that there are legal issue pending against you. They don't say your name or any other personal information. They are fishing... when I called they wanted me to give them all that information and when I said you called me... you should have that information, then they hung up. Block them.

Hi Sharon, It's actually an "AMG & Associates" that called.  They called me about a year or so ago, and just now called my NEW employer.  I've called back 3x from my cell, first time I was told "Oh, we can't find that number just disregard the call" and hung up on me.  I called back.  She supposedly found my account, put me on hold and hung up on me again.  I called back a third time, got a male answering this time.  Told him what had happened, he said "Oh, okay let me transfer you", then yet again, another damn hang up.  Report AMG & Associates, and last year I actually contacted the real AMG & Associates, if I remember correctly it's construction company of some sort and let them know a fraudulent company with this phone number was using their name to try to scam people.  Just ignore it and they will eventually go away.  I just don't like them calling my job! So ANNOYING!!! Go scam your damn self please! UGH.

I get the same message verbatim as everyone else  - yet my name is automated by another voice.  If it was a real person calling about a real debt issue with anyone they would not have it automated.  Have the number blocked on my phone but they can still leave a message.

If you have some free time, just keep calling them back and not saying a word.  Leave some music on and listen to them say hello a few times.  After a few calls back you will hear them getting irritated.  After about 30 calls, they just start hanging up.  I am pretty sure I just got them to block me.  I can't get through anymore.  Have done this with a number of phone scams from different numbers.  It seems to work for me.

I just spoke to "David Wolfe" who worked for PLI & Associates. I googled it and nothing popped up. They called my mother and scared her telling her they were going to serve me at work.  Jerks!

I received a voicemail at work that said this is Steve Anderson, calling from Legal Claims Recovery, and there are a couple complaints on you that are going to judgment, and we will need a payment wired to us soon to stop this from happening. Please call 866-897-6824 back and ask for Steve Anderson. When I called back a recording came on and said 4605 leave message.
