NO ONE RESPONDS WHEN PHONE IS ANSWERED

Received phone call from 877-740-3336, hung up when asked who they were with.  It is Wells Fargo solicitations.  You can call back and remove yourself from the call list but they say may take 30 days.  Guess we will see..

This is a call from Wells Fargo.  They are selling insurance and giving away a gas card.

Calls 2-3 times a day

I just let it go to voicemail, but they don't leave a message.

I have been receiving multiple calls from this number. In only one day I received 15 calls! This has been going on for the last 3 months. My number is private. I registered my phone with the govermment in the "Do not call registry", a couple years ago. Who ever is calling never left a message. What else should I do?

As others before me have stated, this is a Wells Fargo marketing #.  

I called it back, got an interactive machine, and punched in the numbers specified to have my number removed from their telephone marketing efforts.

In defense of Wells Fargo, I need to disclose that I do have several Wells Fargo accounts, and therefore am not covered by the Do-Not-Call list. I have no particular heartburn with Wells Fargo, I just don't like getting marketing call from anyone.

Wells Fargo - Calling to offer special program... Returned call to # 877-740-3336 and followed the automated prompts to be removed from the marketing list. Response stated it could take up to 5 business days to be removed from this marketing effort and 30 days for all future marketing efforts. It was a very simple and non threatening call.

Well, they call and call...finally I put the prerecorded phone signal along with the announcement "The number you have dialed is not in service at this time."  You can get that recording and record it and put it on your answering machine when needed.  What it does:  The beginning signal tone it sends tells the automated calling computer it is a bad number...the computer making the call then flags the number and they never call again..

They call me on a daily basis from 877-740-3336 so i called the number back from my work number and it prompted me to remove my home number from their list.Hopefully it will work.

Wells Fargo harassing me for being an account holder.  (Obviously time to change banks!!)

You can call them back to be taken off their hit list.

Take advantage of your fax machine (SnappyFax software for me) to play their game.  Any document can be "faxed" since you're calling a voice number and the fax will never actually get sent.

Use this "number" on your fax machine (or fax software):

*67,,18777403336,,,,,,1,,xyzabcpqrs,,,,1

Explanation:
*67 - suppress your caller id
,,  - four second delay (two seconds is programmed by each comma)
18777403336 - The Wells Fargo number that called you also receives calls back
,,,,,, - SIX commas are needed for Wells Fargo to answer and accept your next response
1 - tells them you want to be taken off their hit list
,, - TWO commas for the necessary delay before entering your number
xyzabcpqrs - Your ten-digit number (to be removed from their hit list)
,,,, - FOUR commas for the necessary delay before your final response
1 - Your entry that says they got the number (xyz....) correct.

Now just let your fax machine run, making repeated "attempts" ....  Shortly each hangs up and your fax attempts, again, to call the same number.

Set it up before you go to bed and you can probably be removed several hundred times (depending on the maximum number of fax attempts that your machine or software is programmed to make).  They pay ("877" number) to remove your number.  It's only fair, though, since they chose to harass you, initially.

Turn off the fax attempts, several hundred later, when you get up in the morning.

As they say, "Have a nice day..." and look forward to the next night with several hundreds more of removing your phone number, at their expense.

could (instead) be

where the "$$$$" portion is a variable that increments through an entire telephone exchange's numbers.

(Might as well save your neighbors from Wells Fargo harassment, too !!)

That's odd that it's Wells Fargo because they always show their name.  Thanks, I won't answer it again.  I just had a call from AIG who was asking about insurance.  I told them, "don't even go there."

They call every morning never leave a messsage. I do not answer any calls

Tried to recall but it is always busy....

they call daily.so but never leave message.  now wager with spouse to see what time of day they call.  they're persistent, but so are we.
