When I first received calls to call this number in regards to an "urgent matter" about an account the message said, "This is the payment processing center..."  no name or business named. Then it changed to, "This is Mike from the payment processing center..." without a business name. To now, "This is Mr. Gonzales from ECN..." Bear in mind ALL messages were from the SAME person, or at the very least sounds like the same exact person.

I never called because the numbers he was calling from were listed as fraudulent. However, considering the messages are just now becoming more professional instead of being that way from the beginning shows, if fraudulent, they're getting smarter on how to get replies. That or, if a valid company, they're a VERY new company. My bet is on the former, though,because even a new company would know how to sound professional from the beginning.

Just received a call from this number. Then they called my brother. Then again called me. Spoke to a “Mr.Gonzalez” saying I owe money to a payday loan that I never used. On top of that I have never used a payday loan in my life! I begin to tell him I know nothing about this and I never used said payday loan. He proceeds to tell me “you know how many people say they don’t owe something but do” and I was taken aback by that response and I responded with “well this is either a fraud or someone stole my information” he starts to call me a fraud and threaten he’ll take me to court then hangs up. lol what a joke. All in all these scammers are getting smart. Be safe out here people!

Thank you for the above information, it is very helpful. I will add that "Mr. Gonzalez" left me a message about a "very imporortant matter to discuss about one my accounts." He said it was an "urgent" matter.

All of the above, from the initial cal, to the attempt to sound professional, and the Mr. Gonzalez claim.

This number constantly calls. Mr Gonzales supposedly calling about an ergent matter. I will not press one or call them back.

They are getting on my last nerves Mr. Gonzalez need to stop calling me. I don't owe anything to them, the need to loose my number

I have been called since November 2023 ranging from 1 to 3 times a day mostly on the weekdays. All are calling me from a 252 area code (NC) claiming i have an urgent matter or pressing matter. It's requesting a call one of several different numbers over the month. Saw this reported on other sites as a scam when calling to inquire what they needed.

Getting calls with same messages as everybody else.  These dumbass have nothing better to do. But barking up wrong tree here.

DCN or ECM has been calling since last month and today January 8 saying that there is an important matter that needs to be resolved. Please call back 877-749-8987. And the collar has no manners.

This scam artist called my daughter's phone saying I am being served today and wanted to know at which address they need to serve me, at my place of employment. My daughter not  knowing told him certainly do not go to my place of employment and told her I need to call 877-749-8987 back right away. Instead of calling that number, I contacted my local police department and asked them if they had anything to serve me. They told me no. I then reached out to other local police departments, they all said nothing. So its a scam and now my local police departments are also aware. Dont fall for this ppl. If a deputy is trying to serve you, they will try multiple times and leave a note or something on your door. And even if you owe for an old payday loan, this is not how they collect. Seems like this scammer's scam is being caught onto.

New details about the call - I was tired of hearing the message about "an urgent matter" and so I hit 1 and was transferred to an Allen Benson who said that he was a mediator in an attorney's office for E-Z Payday loans calling to try and work out a settlement for a payday loan from 2015 (I see they use that same date with other people on here!) and that the original amount was for $600 (my state limits payday loans to $500/month...1st red flag).  He then tells me that the current amount owing is $1300 but that they can settle to keep the payday loan company from filing a Default Judgement if I pay $690.  I ran my credit report and nothing is showing from old collections on my credit report.  IF IT ISN'T ON YOUR CREDIT REPORT, IT'S A SCAM!!
