calls several times a day, every day, never leaves message -- ATT is now blocking as "telemarketer"

It's Spectrum cable. They keep calling my number for the person that used to have my number. Idiots can't get it through their stupid heads that the previous person no longer has this number. This is why I went with DISH.

Keeps calling... 3 times a day every day. Google has it as Spectrum, but I unsubscribed and paid my last bill a while ago. But, they keep calling for unknown reason. They never leave a message either. I only assumed it was related to a bill because I got my last one thru the mail. But, like I already said, it's paid off.

This is a telemarketer.  They have an "official" sounding automated answer saying this is Spectrum, but they're not.  Real Spectrum # 888-438-2427, Spectrum Mobile # 855-892-2072.  The bogus Spectrum # didn't even have my current and last home address in their data base, and I've lived and had a current account with them for 20 years. I blocked them after speaking to a real Spectrum Rep, who looked up the number on google and saw them listed as a possible telemarketer.  He put me on the Do Not Call list. 877-766-8523 is bogus. Don't give them any account info.

They've been calling and calling. They called at 9:00 last night. Today I Googled the number and blocked it when I read the comments.

This number calls my phone multiple times per day - my phone blocks it as SPAM most of the time.  When it rang and I answered they said it was Spectrum and that I owed for unreturned equipment, but it was all returned months ago and customer is now deceased!

Has called me several times over the last few days, but has never left a message. Others say it is Spectrum; I had a Spectrum account but terminated it about a month ago when I moved to a place with a different ISP. We will see...

Response to my previous post. Spectrum collections for my last payment. After I canceled my account, I was "unable to cancel autopay"...yet mysteriously, it failed to charge the last payment and they claim to have no record of me ever being on autopay. (Typical of this company.)

Received a call from this number but didn’t answer. Called back and heard a “spectrum” recording followed by immediately being passed along to Tina (rep). She asked for my last known address for spectrum and/or last 4 digits of my social to find my information to verify the account. I asked her what the call was regarding. She said an unpaid balance. I told her I was not aware of any unpaid balance and asked why I hadn’t received anything in the mail or a call until today, nearly a year after I stopped service. She said it was because I am no longer at the address on the account. I told her I was uncomfortable giving her any information until I understood more about any outstanding balance and why her number shows up as spam online. I asked if I could go online and pay the balance or if she could send me an email for a place to go online to pay. She said no it has to be over the phone because the account is closed. I again told her I wasn’t willing to give personal information over the phone. She became frustrated with me and told me “I don’t know how to help you then. You’re out of luck.” I apologized that I couldn’t help her and asked for her manager to call me if they want to discuss more.
After the call I called spectrum directly and spoke to an official representative - only took a few minutes. She verified that I did not have any outstanding balances on my account. She also verified the number calling me wasn’t a spectrum number at all. She was very kind and apologized for any confusion the spammer may have caused

Spectrum SCAM, unpaid equipment balance.

Was called by Spectrum 877-766-8523 they claimed I had an unpaid balance.  I did cancel my account (over 20 years as a customer) during the first week of December 2020.  I always ask the right questions.  Will this be prorated from the billing date to the date of shut off.  The woman said YES.  I then asked, since I am on auto-pay, will the unpaid prorated balance be paid by auto-pay or will I receive a bill.  I was told auto-pay would be used.  I then asked about returning my modem during COVID19.  She told me to return the modem to UPS store they will scan it box it and send it back at no cost to me.
The reason I dropped Charter/Spectrum service was because it went from $49.95 month to $59.95 month then to $64.95 a month in just 3 months.
The woman who shut off the service was very "quick" with me, meaning abrupt and fast talking and was obviously not a very good employee.  I kept asking her to repeat herself.  She was not amused and I swear, if that woman worked for me, she would be getting her walking papers.
I was very professional and I talked slowly and, I thought, asked the right questions.
I have perfect credit.  I have always payed my bills on time, NEVER LATE with any bills.

I told the cold caller that I wasn't comfortable giving information to someone who cold calls me and does not have caller ID (CID).  I then called Spectrum directly and it was explained to me, by a nice employee, that they do not pro-rate cancellations.  So I was lied to when I cancelled.  I have a $64.95 bill due and they did not use auto-pay to clear the account, That was another lie when I cancelled.  It has gone to Spectrum Collections.  Anything to do with collection departments disturbs me greatly.  I have not payed my bills on time for my entire life to have someone lie to me about billing.
I have/had 3 accounts with Spectrum.  I cancelled my home account and have this problem.  When I leave my vacation home, I will cancel this account.  When I talk to my grand-daughter, I will explain that she can pay and get her own account.  I will no longer be doing business with Charter/Spectrum. There are other options for ISP's at all three houses.

The caller identified herself as from Lo General Business Office. She had my first name and when I said "speaking" proceeded to ask me to verify my address and DOB. I said I don't know who she is or why she's calling. She then said to look for something from them in the mail. Seems like a phishing scam.

Me too. They have called 12 times in 8 days, but dont leave a message.. i blocked the number but they keep calling. I just changed my number before this because of so many spam calls, now its happening again. Why should i pay for phone service if i am harrassed by scammers

I have been living at my address for 25 years on August 22nd what's my last bill I'm old $7 with $0.71 from the real Spectrum this clowns call me every other day for the past 3 or 4 days the language of me with some bearable now they want me to return and equipment I return my equipment I have my proof they told me to read them back the numbers they're asking for all information in the meantime I told the lady you called me your tell me what's my information lol these are pure clowns phishing scams trying to get information I have them blocked but they keep calling but never leave a message supposedly I owe $171 from 2018 that's the equipment that we're looking for LOL and its 2021 and I have Spectrum up to last month and I return the equipment I had that equipment 4 years now better luck next time suckers your fools get a real job they claimed they were going to ruin my credit

Spectrum scam. They wanted money for "unreturned equipment" even though I never used their router/modem.

im on phone with spectrum. zero balance and this [***] calls me saying from spectrum and i owe money. took my cell and home address and then spectrum (real) no balance. cant these people work like everyone else instead of stealing... friggn people. its a scam...
