Just received the same call this week, supposedly from Spectrum, saying a balance was owed for about $114 and the return of equipment. Was for my deceased father's already paid off and cancelled/closed account. I did nothing over the phone, told them the last piece of equipment was being returned in a couple days. They replied the account still owed a balance and that he would be cheaper because the people in person would charge a $5 processing fee (pushing for me to make payment online so they'd have my info no doubt). WELL, in person they took the equipment, said NOTHING was owed and that there was NEVER a handling/processing fee for handling in person. So yeah, seems like they're phishing deceased people, and since a lot of people use Spectrum they're bound to get lucky.

They texted saying we owe and have outstanding debts to spectrum. Do not trust!

After reading your message, I’m going to block this #. It keeps calling & leaving messages saying we are a “charter family.” Whatever that means. Thank you!

+18777668523 keeps calling me. No clue how they knew that I canceled my account this year but they cannot confirm to me my account number or any info without trying to phish it from me. Be skeptical when you get their call and if you really do owe money, try to contact them yourself from the official website OR even better if you can travel to a Spectrum store and have them look up your info.
