they called my 83 year old mother said they had bought out the chimney maintenance company that had services our chimney and wanted to come out the next day to clean it for 30 dollars
they were very pushy and kept insisting that they were coming out the next day
Fortunately she held firm and kept saying no

sorry to hear about that i had the greatest experience wit perfect touch  and would hope if anybody has chimney trouble they would go with perfect touch there workers were very good and made me feel safe again

Interesting - my 75 year old mother received an identical call today and I am trying to contact them to tell them to not show up at her home and of course, the phone number has a wierd automated voice recording not even mentioning the business.  I think I will call the police...

This is the number for Perfect Touch Maitenance on Long Island. They are a bunch of theives with a legit company. They target elderly widows and offer to clean their chimney for $50. Once they get in they claim their chimney needs emergency repairs and the price goes up to $4000. They did it to my uncle. They travel through NY, CT. MA, and ME mostly. Scum of the earth. I can't believe these comments, I had these men over my home a couple of weeks ago to repair my roof as well as chimney.  The work was outstanding and the men were very informative.  I would recommend this company for anyone who is looking for any repair for their household.

i really cant believe these comments iam hearing i had perfect touch maintence over my home i wanna say about two weeks ago they repaired my roof and chimney and they were the cheapest and the job was done great also the men were very respectful i wonder if this was the same company i think it is they were awesome

This company is a bunch of crooks!! They don't know what they are talking about and they don't even have professional men working for them! The workers that came to my home looked like hoodlums!!! They should be shut down for unprofessionalism.

My 75 year old grandmother got a call from them yesterday....if this is a legit buisness then why does it come up as a private call...and why when you call them does it just ring and ring and ring and there is no answering machine....they are supposed to come to my grandmothers house today...and they will meet a very angry 20 year old granddaughter....no one is gonna be stepping foot on our roof....i love my grandmother and no one is going to scam her

Got a call by these guys, and agreed  to a cleaning, but now after reading, have decided not to have them do the cleaning.  The number does not work...huh, imagine that!

This company recently called my senior in laws. She told me they called her and got her to make appt got $30. I told her to never let strangers in w/o telling one of us so I checked them out and found this site. I then called the company to ask into it and they kept saying their Co was in Long Island and West Chester PA. They told my in laws they had office in West Chester. When I asked where, they said no office just trucks and quickly offered to cancel appt. I said no, come and I will be there. They never showed! They are trying to take advantage of senior citizens and I am reporting them to BBB and police and so should you! Any positive comment on here must be from them.

Unfortunately, my wife recieved a call from Perfect Touch Maintenance and agreed to have them clean our chimney for just $40.  Two men arrived within the scheduled time frame.  The lead said that they couldn't clean the oil burner chimney because it would ruin the lining.  He claimed that the chimney needed an insert and that he would provide an estimate.  He also said he couldn't clean the wood-burning chimney because the cap would disintegrate if he attempted to take it off.  So, I went up on the roof and took it off.  Then he complained that nothing would get cleaned out of the chimney.  I told him that I cleaned the chimney myself about 2 years ago and filled half a shop vac with the debris in the chimney and on the ledge (not from the fireplace pit).  So, he sent his helper up to the roof with a small flimsy round brush for a larger rectangular chimney.  I was up on the roof and told him that it wouldn't do anything and I got down and brought up my rectangular brush that fit the chimney openning.  The lead started cursing at me using the F-bomb repeatedly on my own property as I went down to ground level.  He retrieved the helper and they left.  At least they didn't get any of my money for no work, which is just what they wanted to do - take money for no work.  I finished the job with my oldest daughter and half-filled the shop vac just as before.  I'm happy I have a clean chimney now with the cap securely returned without any issue.  I think that the PTM corp is a bunch of thieves.

I had PTM corp over my house today even after reading this website...i honostly think this company is getting bad reviews for nothing...i am a volunteer fireman and went up on the roof with the men that showed up who where nothing but courtious and profesional with both me and my wife..i have a house that is well over 100 years old and they cleaned my furnice flu for the agreed $40 and didnt try to scam me into more money...he did leave me an estimate on a liner for the cheapest ive found so far...i cant wait to have them come back.

I live in PA and got a telemarketing call from PTM one day. At first I was sceptable, but once the service men showed me the proper credntials I felt a lot better. These guys did a pretty good job of removing about a garbage bag full of soot for only 40$. In conclusion I'm super happy with the price and the cleaning I recieved. They also left me with a fair competitive estimate on some brick work for the top of my chimney. I trust these guys, they were prompt and clean cut american boys. Thanks PTM!

these are just other chimney companies slandering and mad that ptm charges less for cleanings becuse they stay in town long and go on enough jobs to make a living without scamming people we have plenty of happy customers and will provide info at any time someone belives this trash talk jimmy johnson!!!!!!!!!!!

So if this is legit, why doea caller ID read: Anonymous / Private Number? A legitimate business does not have Anonymous for Caller ID much less Private Number.

I believe I will go with SCUMBAGS!  Obvious SCUMBAGS that occassionally may act like a legitimate business. Or perhaps the company is writing the positive messages above.

I too received calls from Perfect touch. I first received on aprox 1 month ago with the offer for a $40 clean out.  They said they would be in the area servicing my neighbors homes.  So, I asked for those names and they gave me two.  What they didn't realize was that I knew the neighbors and asked them and they did not have their chimney serviced nor did they have an appointment to do so.  Then just yesterday I received another call from PTM and although it was a different "sales person"  they gave me the same exact story....neighbors getting work done etc.  I again asked for the names and they gave me the 2 same names as a month ago.  At this point I knew it wasn't right and told them that I knew for a fact that the people they referenced were not their clients.  I even said "so, is that the fake story you use every time?!?!"  Can you believe he said "Yeah, I guess so"  and then hung up.  Told my hubby about it last night and he thought possibly they are using our name when calling other people in our neighborhood.  So, I called the number that I was given on the first call, 877-786-4611 and a man named Sean answered the phone as Perfect Touch.  I asked for the owner (who I was told was Sam) but he wasn't in.  Sean said he could handle my questions.  I told him what had transpired and he assured me that wasn't their practice and would get to the bottom of it.  Yeah right.  So, I told him how I had read all these similar negative stories and he said "Yeah, well why don't you try googling Applebees and see how many people aren't happy with them because they didn't like their entrees.".  WHAT?!?!  I said well the difference is Applebees isn't using our names in association with scam tactics to gain access to our properties.  After all this I wouldn't trust this company at my house!

Your chimney does need regular maintanence.  For the best deal in town - check your phone book and call a LOCAL company!
